This is gonna be off topic, does everyone else have a plastic protective film over their screen? It's not the obviously looking protective screen that you take off when you unpackage the phone.
Thought my previous one was definitely glass surface last time before i exchanged it. Which made sense since glass is much harder to scratch than these sticky plastic covers. But if I look closely on the edges and corners I can see the offset.
All of the Triumphs I seen have this "2nd screen protector".. I took mine off and the screens clarity and responsiveness greatly improved.. The only downside of taking it off that I noticed is more screen glare. Leads me to believe that it might just be something to reduce glare on the screen.
A thanks for fast reply!
So thats the only problem with taking the plastic off? None of the glue sticks back on the glass? Also how does if feel without it? Since I've noticed that the edges around the screen are already raised up a bit, does it feel like the screen is dropped down in the canvas?
Although most used Gingerbrake to Root the stock Rom but it was actually unnecessary as the Triumph was rooted out of the box and did not need Superuser for Root Apps. Weird but true as it had Sudo which is used by other Linux based operating systems to gain root access. Like me you probably did the Terminal Emulator trick with the stock Rom entering in the two lines that direct apps to Sudo for root as opposed to Su thus not needing Superuser. The other nice thing about this trick was that Root access could be easily reversed with a line inside the terminal emulator. Unless you go and install Super User which will then replace the Sudo binary with su binary. Anyhow just thought I would bring this up as I was very excited when I learned that the Triumph was actually rooted from the get go and had no need for Superuser.
Time-to-lock is not fixable on a first lock if the almanac is invalid as AGPS does NOT work on this device. However, once it gets a lock it is extremely stable. I have run multiple ~8-hour uninterrupted sessions with CoPilot up.
So once I get a lock, as long as I don't turn the GPS radio off, I should be in business right?
Some of the glue sticks on the screen but it's easily removed with a microfiber wipe. The screen feels a lot smoother with the plastic off.. The screen feels perfectly flat with the protector off to me.. I'll PM you a link to a video of someone taking off the protector. Cheers!
I tried to get a lock today before I went to Winston Salem and it kept searching. So I went to the market and installed GPS Booster and Gps Fix. Once I had those when I left on my trip it locked instantly and stayed that way for the forty minute drive that it took me to get there. I also used Endomondo for my ride and it kept a lock during my one and a half hour ride. I know the ideal is to not have to use outside apps but the two don't seem to intrusive and it works for me.
Yes. However, I've found that even if I do turn it off, the lock time is still much quicker once I turn it back on.
I just checked your apps out on market. They both seem to do the same thing but GPS Fix has adware. Why are you using them both?
How do you get the green bar that shows your battery level on the status bar? Under cm settings, I see the option to change the original battery icon to a number, but how do I get the number AND th green vertical bar that shows battery level (not the original battery icon)?
That's how I did it too. Should I just go ahead and uninstall Superuser or would that give me problems since it has been in he system all this time?

Yes and M___884 is correct, checking the battery percentage and unchecking it and rechecking it again gives both the percentage number and the green bar since late alphas and it was also the case for many mods for the Virgin LG Optimus V.
Ok so I just installed cm7 the latest build. And I noticed my capacitive buttons are much more dim than the stock rom. Is this normal and or changeable? Please tell me I'm not going crazy here.
Thanks

PWM control on the cap keys was added a few builds back. You can adjust those settings in Settings --> CyanogenMod Settings --> Display --> Automatic Backlight --> Edit other levels...
EDIT: Originally, the kernel only allowed the key backlight two states - Completely on or off. TG added PWM control to the keys to allow us the ability to dim them should we want to.
Awesome thanks for the answer. I take it 100 would be like factory? Or whatever the highest levels are?
And oh yea are you going to take this rom over for us? (giggles)
