Root [ROM][Beta][FINAL] CM7 Android For Triumph [Tickerguy Edition, Kernel: mine] 11/19

HDMI may be a major problem; it requires libraries that I cannot overload and the daemon making the requests is not one we have source for.

Not giving up on it but don't get your hopes up on that one. I have full sensors now (magnetometer, compass, etc) but still no GPS .... progress continues.

Hey guys, the download link on first post i cant seem to get to work, i just get a page not found error, was just curious where latest build is i can download and try out, ty and keep up good work ticker and issac and everyone involved : )

EDIT: nvm im ******ed or something, now it works...lol

When I get something materially improved I'll post it. I had a PM report that someone got a MMS (received) on CM7 - that shouldn't have worked, and if it did I'm even more unhappy as that means behavior is different depending on where you are on the network, which will make me very not-pleased.

Crap I told you about it hoping that would be a good thing... Yikes

ok so ive been running this rom since abouttt 9/5 7am and the bug list i have is not large but bugs none the less

1. putting phone into sleep mode with wifi enabled locks screen and requires battery pull
2. data is inconsistent needs to be restarted with airplane mode to get working but incoming calls and sms have been working fine besides the fact that i think everyones been getting shit service on virgin lately

those are the only real annoying bugs i have found but for the most part this rom is a serious uprade from stock and thats why ive stuck with it from day one.....thanks tickerguy and isaacj you guys arewell i dont wanna say your gods but maybe your like badass superheroes!

Has anyone who's running the PA CM7 noticed a better battery life due to the cell standby not struggling to try and find a tower or going into no signal mode all the time?

I'm very curious if CM7 can help fix a lot of the antenna issues we've got that affect battery life and signal strength :) Thanks
Yes. CM7 has significantly better battery life for me than stock. This is one of the reasons I am running it all the time (rather than only when attempting to debug it) as while I want and need MMS and GPS functionality, I don't need those all the time. Having a phone with a not-dead battery, on the other hand....

Incidentally there is a new build up this morning.

Lights code (from Isaac) is fixed - uploading a new build here shortly. I think you'll like what we did for the lights modifications; notifies now always give you a blinking status light.

If on battery: blinking orange
If on charge: alternating blinking green/orange or red/orange

This should guarantee that what you see is always unique as to the state in question.

hey just tried the update and am getting stuck at moto boot screen....tried multiple different data wipes/cache and still no luck after 10 min on boot screen any thoughts?

I had this problem with the last build when I was unzipping the file directly into clockwork's backup directory. When I put the the zip file in root directory and let clockwork unzip it, everything worked out.

i have the .zip in the sd root is there any other solutiuons?

Make sure you are using clockworkmod 4.0.1.4 recovery.

do a wipe data/factory reset

under mounts and storage format /system

then install zip from sd card (pick the zip you have in the sd root.)

When you see the cyanogen mod 7 thing spinning, its booting...

No. The activation is stored in the radio. At present there is no code in the system that will tamper with it. Virgin's stock ROM will grab and save it on boot (and put it back if lost) but CM7 doesn't have the code to do that in it, and the Activation APK, if you grab it, will fail as the backing store (in /hidden) doesn't exist (among other things.)

still no go for me. hangs on Motorola logo. using cwm 4.0.1.4 with orange font, wiped system, cache, data and davic cache. zip is in the root of my SD card.

any ideas?

other then rooting with gingerbreak the only other thing i have ever did to the phone was the PRL update a while back.

Hey i got a couple of questions about the CM7 WIP ROM. I know its a work in progress rom but, How come up Toggle LED Flashlight is not available and will hotspot be put in here. I'm not rushing anybody I'm just wondering.

Jack I was just able to flash to the 12 Noon update. You may try to redownload them and see if it was a problem with the download. by chance are you overclock that could also do it. and last you may want to flash the stock backup that is on one of the post. That way you are sure to get a clean start. If that does not work let us know

The LED notifications are not working for me - using the 9/10 12:00 noon build. Is there a setting somewhere I am missing?

Everything else is working AWESOME!!!

Same here Ticker.....am I missing something? To configure: CM Settings

I think I have it working. I had the phone on vibrate and received a text and email, and the LED was blinking red then green.
