Root [ROM][Beta][FINAL] CM7 Android For Triumph [Tickerguy Edition, Kernel: mine] 11/19

ok i finally tried the 9/25 version and its really smooth... i just dont like the wakeup delay. i remember adjusting that on my intercept... would that work the same here? (adjusting the sleep table)

long press your home screen and when it brings up the menu go to "widgets" then scroll down to the "power control" widget and click it. it'll bring up a new menu where all the settings are... scroll down to the section that says "Wi-Fi Events Settings" it's about half way down in the settings, and it's the fourth option under that where it says "Wi-Fi enables 3g"

thanks, giving it a shot.

Excellent job with this ROM Tinkerguy and Issac

Only problem i've noticed so far is that gmail app is not syncing up when i get a new email in my inbox i dont seem to get the alerts or get a live sync of the new email. even though i have all the settings set to make the alerts and let apps sync in background etc. or i am i doing something wrong?

or i am i doing something wrong?

Yes. But I can't really tell you what, works perfectly for me.

Note that the 3g data tends to drop out (but still say its connected) when the screen is off, so make sure that isn't making you think your sync is broken.

Make sure you have data sync turned on. It's the two arrows chasing each other in a circle on the power control widget.

Ran into an issue today using the 9/25 version of the rom with the OC kernel that Isaac posted.

While trying to watch some Youtube videos at work today I noticed that if the phone stays vertical the video will flicker and flash. The sound is fine and the rest of the screen seems unaffected, just the small portion that shows the video flickers approximately 1-2 times a second. Switching to landscape mode corrects the problem until you go back to the vertical position and it starts up again. From what I can tell it doesn't matter if you are on 3G or WiFi, or if you are watching high or low quality video. Youtube seems to be the only thing I can replicate the flicker with, browser flash video and my videos from the SD card seem to work without issue.

I searched the thread for screen flickering issues with video and nothing popped up so hopefully I'm not reporting something that is already known.

Ticker, I am also having problems for reconnecting wifi when I wake the phone. I go into settings and it says Wifi and below that it says error. I cannot reconnect the wifi without rebooting the phone. I was wondering if this was something wrong on my part, but wifi is an important aspect so I wanted to report it here.

How long is your phones wakeup timeon the nee cm7?

I'm still having trouble with wifi not reconnecting when waking the phone up. Is there a setting somewhere that fixes this?

This issue was discussed in detail somewhere in this thread. Tickerguy is aware of the issue but has said that he is unsure if it is fixable.

Edit: After rereading your post, I realize you probably mean it is not automatically reconnecting as it should on wake (the issue of having to disconnect WIFI on sleep is what I was originally referring to). I also have noticed that often it doesn't reconnect when it wakes, although I know it used to work fine... For me it is just a matter of going into WIFI settings and then it will reconnect- I don't have to reboot like Chingling

I understand that but all my other apps like facebook and twitter instantly sends me updates as they are sent out.

Anyone care to help me maybe i am doing something wrong in Gmail

I understand what you guys are saying but now I have a new report. Wifi is completely dead for me. Even on boot I go into the settings and it says wifi and error even though I have just booted the phone!

I had this happen once while pricking around with stuff. A reflash of the ROM took care of it for me.

From the homescreen, go to Settings > Accounts & sync then click your google account and make sure that Gmail is set to sync, I don't think that it is by default

I can confirm that it was not set to sync gmail by default, and this is exactly the method I used.

Hey tickerguy, I was just wondering if we could expect the FULL Bluetooth functionality in the future.? I currently can connect my phone to my car stereo, but the audio for the phone and media still plays through the phone and not the speakers. I'm not site if maybe i'm doing something wrong or if it is your build. Thank you in advance.

The Bluetooth stack has full media capability now and always has since I first got it running. I connect for and listen to media through mine all the time (daily) with AVCRP headphones.

I have a pair of Motorola S805s that I use as my primary wireless music headphones - they work fine including the AVRCP control functions (e.g. track next and previous, etc) The stack also works properly with the CommandOne earpiece (which is one of the few that can do media as well as phone audio, albeit in mono, and which I find annoying as it will connect for media even if you tell the phone not to - which means that things like your navigation text-to-speech come through the earpiece!)

Go into the bluetooth config and make sure you're selected for both media and phone audio. If it's not connected for both hold the profile of the car and make sure both have their checkboxes ticked.

That's all I can recommend as I can't reproduce this at all, and have verified the code's functionality against multiple stereo output and media control-capable devices.

Thanks for being so prompt with a reply. It appears the first time I connected it to my stereo I forgot to punch in the 1234 code to allow them to pair. Sorry for assuming it didn't work. Your doing a great job Ticker. Keep up the good work. Wish I could donate to you for all your efforts.

On another note.. Is there any possibility that when you get the front facing camera working that we will be able to use google talk to video chat..? Virgin mobile and Motorola both said that it will not work on this device even though the commercial for this phone specifically showed the use of google video chat. I know tango works but I have more friends on google talk. Thanks again.

the only bluetooth issue i've had is that if i pause my music and let the phone sleep, the bluetooth headphones switch to phone sound only, not media sound. i have to turn bluetooth off and back on again to get it to work for media. it may be specific to my headphones, but i didn't have the issue pre-CM7.
