Root [ROM][Beta][FINAL] CM7 Android For Triumph [Tickerguy Edition, Kernel: mine] 11/19

And yet another place I have to create an account ... sort of getting tired of giving out my email address to so many places. I'll wait and see if it gets addressed in thread before I go further with it.

Superdug, it would be better just to go to Github. It's better not to crowd the ROM thread with bug reports, that's the whole reason they made a Github profile for bugs.

https://github.com/ikarosdev/CM7_Triumph_bug_tracker

Also, Github is well recognized, and used by quite a few companies. They're not the spammy type, so nothing wrong with giving your email to them. It's actually pretty nice how you get notifications about replies and stuff. It also might be useful in the future too.

Lastly, reporting bugs in Github gives the developer an organized list of bugs to fix. It would be much nicer to let the dev just look at a list of bugs, rather than having to scramble between the Github and this forum. It's much easier, and much better to use Github. I hope you get my point here.

EDIT: I see you fixed the bug (great!). But the above applies to everyone!

hey if we start using the new cwm recovery, can we use it to flash anything?

also, what are the keymappings for the new recovery? thanks in advanced...

Ziggy, you should be able to.

Back is the back on the keypad, select is menu (left button) on the softpad. Power is not used.

ok thanks man! i was just making sure because you know when you overlook the smallest details, things tend to go wrong... LOL :p

im getting ready to boot 9/25 and i will leave feedback soon.

Anything except for Andro-id and MIUI... For those you'll need the first CWM recovery we got.

I was never able to restore nandroids made with another CWM unless in fact I restored them with that CWM, but it may be different for you. so if you have old nandroids that are important, restore them then update recovery and back up again.

How exactly do I update Clockwork Mod to a newer version?

1 get the latest cwm recovery.img on first page.
2 now hold the down vol. and power button at same time(make sure phone is off)
3 connect phone to pc.
4 open folder
5 replace recovery.img with new one
6 unplug and turn off phone and hold vol up n down. and power button at same time. voila.
i cant seem to find anyway to install through phone without pc.:(

Just flashed the 9/25 rom. It's awesome! It's got everything working I need except I am having an issue with the g-sensor. I went through all options in settings looking for the calibration tool I am used to and am unable to locate it. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am stumped.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I thought I could do it without a PC but I guess not. Either way I updated it and installed the newest build.

I'm also experiencing the black lock screen issue. It happens when I set a wallpaper from Zedge, but not if I use a pre-installed wallpaper. Sometimes it will allow me to unlock the phone because I get haptic feedback from sliding my finger across the screen, but it stays back. One time I actually managed to reboot the phone by guessing where the buttons are!
Also, this thread got 21 pages in 27 days, that's almost a page per day!

am i the only one who is having problems with 3g? need to airplane mode every time it wakes!!
i noticed this too, so iwent into the power control widget and noticed a little set of option called Wi-Fi event settings, and i checked the last option which says "Wi-Fi enables 3g - 3g when wifi is disabled" and it seems that that option works a little better at keeping the 3g running all the time. there are a couple random times when it doesn't, but nothing like before i used this option. i mean almost every time i took my phone out of sleep i would have to reset my 3g with the mobile data toggle or airplane mode, but now everything is pretty damn good.

one other question for Ticker and Isaac. could you guys possibly update SuperUser to v3.0 the the post beta stable release came out on on the 26th and i just updated it and it's binaries to v3.0 and everything is working awesome. just saying that up to date programs would be awesome with this up to date rom......

where is that setting? i'm not seeing it.

ROM is running pretty well for me so far. I had some trouble changing wallpapers. It worked the first time, but then I was unable to change from that. Tried like 10 times and it finally worked the last time. I'm also seeing the slow wake up times.

One other thing I've noticed is some popping in the audio when listening through headphones. This is happening in my music player and also in my podcast player. I knows the files I'm listening to are clean... they played without popping on the stock ROM. Anyone else notice this?

long press your home screen and when it brings up the menu go to "widgets" then scroll down to the "power control" widget and click it. it'll bring up a new menu where all the settings are... scroll down to the section that says "Wi-Fi Events Settings" it's about half way down in the settings, and it's the fourth option under that where it says "Wi-Fi enables 3g"

Nope, you aren't the only one... look a few pages back for instructions about a tasker profile to keep data enabled by auto toggling it in the background for you. ;)

I didn't actually post the profiles/tasks for Tasker, just mentioned that was what I did. So here it is! :)

Dropbox - userbackup.xml

It is set for every 10 minutes and seems to work. I still randomly (once a day, max) have to manually toggle the 3g.
