Root [ROM] CM7 TG-Reloaded (Final: 03-25)

Where are these ICS animations? Are they part of the stock launcher and since I'm using GO Launcher I don't get them?

If you have animations & transitions enabled, rotating phone has it, otherwise it's just subtle fade in & out. GB had slide left & right.

I can confirm no headphones as well.

I'll look into the headphone problem when I get more time. If someone could test flashing back to an earlier kernel I posted a couple of pages back to see if it works back then, that'll narrow it down a bit.

Well I did a restore to the 1/21 and it works, not sure what other changes you made that might cause it, but it works fine in the 1/21 build

Yes I know it works in the previous ROM builds, because this issue wasn't reported then. To help narrow it down more, which is why I asked someone to test an older KERNEL only. So 1-25 ROM with an older KERNEL is what I'm interested in hearing.

Flash this kernel onto 01-25 build & see if headphones work.

Give me a min, and I will do it, and report back

**UPDATE**

works fine with the 1/18 kernel

Oddly enough, I've encountered the freezing status bar for the first time, using the 1/25 build. Now I know what everyone's been talking about lol.

Also, every time I boot, the status bar FCs. Sometimes it restarts, and sometimes it doesn't. I reflashed and it's still happening. I'm gonna have to roll back to 1/21 for now.

Has anyone used Google Music streaming over bluetooth in their car with the latest build? I am unable to use my car's controls to skip songs, pause, etc.

hey whyzor i remade your rom with the whyzer kernel built in and google apps built in of if i put it on here so people wont have music problems?

The separate kernel is only until I make another build with it included (tonight or tomorrow). As for google music, that falls under the same legal reason Gapps isn't included in CM7 ROMs. Only Google partners are allowed to include their apps in ROMs, it would fall under the same category as violating copyright laws/pirating...etc.

I'm having another problem. I always use ROM Toolbox to install the robotic font (I know it's incorporated onto the ROM but it's not applied globally, which ROM Toolbox does). But when I flashed the 1/25 build and installed the font, when I reboot, it gets stuck at the boot logo. I've never had this problem before. I've been flashing the updates on top of each other since before TG's beta 8 and never had any issues installing the font. Is there any reason it wouldn't be working right anymore? Would installing the font manually work instead?

Try flashing the font after making sure the ROM runs fine to narrow down the problem whether it's the ROM Toolbox or not. Also re-wipe cache & dalvik cache before flashing again. Pull out battery for 1 minute too can clear all the memory.

Hello guys, new to the forum. I'd like to start out by thanking you guys for continuous and what is probably tedious work to helping reach mine, along with many other's Triumph's reach its full potential. I'm happy to see I joined a community (owned a Curve 8530 like 3 weeks ago before I made the switch, R.I.P. RIM) that has such devoted people to improving their own experience, seeing as the manufacturer and vendor won't.

Anyways, I have a question and a possible bug to report.

My question is: If I upgrade my current version (1-07 build with the 1-21 kernel), will I have to factory reset like the flashing guide said, or does that only pertain to a original custom rom flash/different roms.

Now, the bug I ran into is on the lockscreen. Not sure if it's unique to just my device or what, but just a few minutes ago the unlock sliders were positioned as if I had my phone in landscape mode whilst it was in portrait mode. I slid to unlock, and the pattern was off centered. My status bar remained in portrait mode during all of this. I unlocked my screen and re-locked it and it reverted to normal. I just thought I'd fill you guys in on this. Thanks for the hard work!

There were recent fixes commited into CM7 that should fix the lockscreen position (should be available in 1-25 build). No need to factory reset or reinstall gapps if coming from a previous CM7, just wipe cache & dalvik-cache before flashing, and also flash an older WhyKernel if you need headphones working right away.

Well I've been tinkering around with it and even after restoring my latest nandroid it's still doing the same thing, so I'm going to assume it's a ROM Toolbox issue.

BTW, would it be possibly for you to have roboto applied globally? If not, or you'd rather not, that's fine. Changing the font every time a flash a new update is pretty simple. But having it built in would just be a little more convenient.

Where do you NOT see roboto font? I see it pretty much everywhere, including lockscreen. Only part I don't see is the default alarm clock app, which still uses old DroidSans.

I've been monitoring the thread and running all current versions for a while now. I wanted to register to say thank you for the development and all the hard work. The battery life is excellent compared to stock. I turn off wifi and 3g when I am not near going to be near a charger and enable it when needed so it can deep sleep. I'm not one that needs instant notifications anyways. I can't imagine being stuck with Froyo on this phone lol. Thanks again

Ok, so I just flashed back to the 1-18 kernel and it fixed this problem too, just in case anyone else encounters this issue.

does anyone have problem when setting CM7 performance?, it keeps restarting to the default mhz and governor when i reboot (I dont have it on restore on boot option)

sorry if this has been asked before

Thanks Whyzor! Flashed the latest build & reverted back to 1-18 kernel. Works like a charm.

Maybe... Uh...
Try setting restore on boot?
Just off the top off my head...
