Root [ROM] CM7 TG-Reloaded (Final: 03-25)

So wonder if it really is breaking thunderprop, mc3 worked fine for me before when i was using a different cm7 rom

I'm not sure what thunderprop is. I'm just running regular CM7-TG-Reloaded-2012-02-02 build. I was able to download MC3 fine from the market. Thought it would tell me before I downloaded it that I couldn't run it on my phone. At least I have it for when I get a better phone or tablet.

I hope we hear more about that Asus Nexus tablet soon!

thunderprop is a modded build.prop file that makes your triumph appear to be an htc thunderbolt on the market in order to increase compatability. if you run that youll usually be able to install gameloft games etc, i had mc3 on my phone and it ran fine. id recommend you try it, but if it doesnt work for you then youre probably in the same boat as i am, in which case unless someone gives me a heads up on how to make thunderprop work on this rom, or informs me of what i could be doing wrong, i dont know what to do.

Try using the thunderprop since you are on an earlier build it should work. Just flash the cm7 one in CWM and the game should work. http://androidforums.com/triumph-all-things-root/405837-thunderprop-build-prop-market-access-updated-2-5-2012-a.html

And the camera works!

Whyzor, is V6 supercharger built into this rom, or is that something we need to do on our own?

The v6 supercharger scripts basically forces Android's internal lowmemkiller to kill background apps to free up RAM sooner, it slows down multi-tasking apps since there will be less apps loaded in memory. I disabled it in the /etc/init.d/99memory script, but you can edit that and tweak it. See the last few pages of Tickerguy's original thread for discussion about it & why it's disabled now.

Just curious. If hdmi gets fixed in cm9, is it possible to back port the framework to cm7, for those who need camera?

It's possible when it does work some day, but not sure how hard or much work it'd take. But I'm guessing camera on cm9 will work sooner than hdmi since cm9's camera functionality applies to more phones than hdmi.

Normally in terminal emulator type 'md5sum <file>'. But since you don't have a working ROM, download it on a PC, google for a "md5sums" windows program, or it's built-in to linux. Then copy the ROM file onto the sdcard (which could also be bad). But downloading onto PC over regular internet & then copying onto phone over wire is the most stable way. Downloading ROM zips over VM's 3G data network is the least reliable way.

I understand the person wanting to check the MD5SUM probably didn't have a working phone at the time.

But I was happy to find that "ES File Explore" has a nice MD5 hook. Just long press on a file, choose the "Properties" menu item, and click the "Show checksum" button. You then get a choice between MD5 or SHA-1 checksums.

I found this very useful when testing files on the phone. Only noting it because I think there are a lot of people who might not have noticed this feature.

I seem to be having a strange problem. I tried flashing back stock, miui, and all froyo ROMs and now in all of my HD games appear all white. Flashing to this build and everything works but it seems that the new drivers somehow stay when I flash other ROMs and I guess they aren't compatible or something. Yes I have Wiped everything in CWMR but this problem wont go away so now I can't play my games through HDMI in any of the Froyo ROMs cause the graphics are all gone (everything is white) :/

You have to factory reset when switching ROMs, and try taking battery out for at least 2 minutes to make sure the memory is cleared.

i still have the wake up issue with phone calls... and sometime the capacitive buttons stop working still. but everthing else is great

same thing here, but also sometimes my touchscreen randomly doesnt register my touch for a few moments. Mostly happens when typing a text message.

bootlooped again wiped cache and dalvik cache and flashed over 03-01 build stilll no go
edit: i cant flash any build of this rom over my 03-01 build actually, trid previous builds as well and still bootloops

Weird issue that just started today - long pressing the volume keys no longer skips to next/previous song in either Play Music or the default Android Music app. Was using it just this afternoon but on my car ride home I tried to skip a track and it refused to work. Tried toggling the setting, rebooting the phone, and uninstalling GrooveIP which I had just installed today, but it still doesn't work. Any ideas or am I going to have to reflash?

Edit: Just thought I should also mention that the volume keys are definitely still functional - they raise and lower the volume with no issues.

hey finally installed cm7 reloaded onto my triumph.
This was my first time flashing a rom, and its VERY EASY "if you know what to do"

WHYZOR:
Great build nearly any issues at all.
2 things though.
1st more an inquiry to a possible issue, the lcd and softkey lighting possibly a little glitchy auto brightness working???? i also noticed the lighting on softkeys to be dimmer than stock NOT AN ISSUE, but doesnt always wake? and the vibrate on softkey press is weaker, kind of like it like that.

ok so for the more sensitive rom specific apps in draw, like rom manager etc. is there a way to put them into a folder for safe keeping?

ANYWAY:
this rom is great, runs better, better visuals, faster data with basically no waiting to connect.

Try re-downloading the rom (sometimes zips corrupt downloading or moving)

1.format/system
2. Wipe data factory reset
3. Wipe Cache
4. Wipe Dalvik

flash the ROM then Gaps, repeat steps 3 & 4, reboot

Yes, you will have to reinstall all your apps, but, it should let you install the rom you want without bootlooping.

I've noticed games run much slower than before. Should I just rollback to the old GPU and audio drivers? Games worked great before.

Whether these problems existed in the 03-01 build is important info. I still haven't heard anyone say games run smoother with the new build

Well, I can say that they don't run smoother for me. Games that ran fine on the previous builds crash, stutter and glitch out for upwards of 30 seconds. I did a factory wipe, fresh install from stock ROM. I wasn't having these game problems previously though, that's for sure.
I'll test asphalt 6 and post results, it's not only high graphic games though. I was having issues with triple town.

Also, not overclocked, 61mhz-1024mhz.

I installed the 3-4 build 5 or so days ago. Today is the first time since then that I played a game. It was angry birds rio. It was stuttering, etc. Never happened before, I've used all previous builds. Thanks as always for your work.

Edit: I had the same issue after a restart. Also tried clearing cache and even reinstalling the game.

The soft keys have a brightness setting under Settings--> CyanogenMod settings--> Display--> Automatic backlight--> (make sure "Use custome" is checked) Edit other levels...

Hope it helps.

i still have the wake up issue with phone calls... and sometime the capacitive buttons stop working still. but everthing else is great

I think it has something to do with the "screen saver". I have noticed that if I talk for long enough for the lock to kick in, I would need to unlock my phone after my call. If it's a shrot call, then I don't.

ive noticed that when scrolling real slow, for example the notification bar , it would scroll from one point to another, ive noticed thison alll the roms ive tryed except the first releases on cm9, where the screen was more precise is the touch sreeen not that responsive ?? or is it a software problem?? anyways great rom!!
