Root [ROM] CM7 TG-Reloaded (Final: 03-25)

I know with the optimus V you format boot, data, system, and cache is this same for the MT? and do I flash gapps with this considering it is CM7?

When you do a "factory reset" you clear the whole "Data" partition. That includes all of your downloaded apps, the dalvic cache, and your other"data" directory. If you brows around with a Root Explorer and look under /data/ you will see the other data directory (/data/data/). That other one is where the data cache is stored for your apps. It's wierd, I know, but that's how it's built.

I suppose you've tried the usual stuff... clear data for that app, fix permissions... Maybe uninstall the app and reinstall the apk?

Thanks! I forgot about "fix permissions". I assume I do that in ClockworkMod Recovery? I've seen it before but I've never used that function since I haven't had any problems with this rom yet (that's a good thing) ;)
I will try all of the above. Thanks for the suggestions.

I am having problems sending picture messages on stock messaging app. I get force closes. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this issue? I've reflashed the ROM but I was wondering if anyone had any other tips before I performed a factory reset.

Have you tried to extract sms.apk (or what ever it's name is) from the ROM and replaced the one in your system folder?

I think that's done when you reflash the ROM... hmmm

Do you have any other text messaging apps? They may be the problem.

Finally after trying everything for 2 hours I replaced the recovery.img file with the original factory recovery.img file and it just booted up

Thank you all for your help

only issues i ran into were the headphones being connect with speakers still playing,,and sometimes the sensor when making /receiving calls, other than that this rom is great,,,Ive been reading and trying out all the roms but just now have subscribed so now i can send feed back, pretty much the best rom ,,,my secound choice would be miui,,id like to figure out if i could turn off the phone while leaving the data on for web and mms, inside where i live i have no bars for calling but i can surf w/1x and it just sucks the battery constanly trying to find calling service,,and if i put airplane mode it works but i cant surf or text,,I want to know if any one can help me with this,,,and thanks whyzor for anything first time im able to but you sure did alot here,,and finally ppl dont have to settle for stock thanks to all the devs who ported, created, and did amazing things with this phone,,its an amazing phone now,,,as far as battery goes i dont think its gonna bother me so much to carry an extra battery around in my wallet,,

It works. like dsmryder said, make sure auto brightness is not enabled.

Hmm.. I disabled it and it still doesn't work.. Tried reflashing the zip but it still doesn't work after that. Could it be a bad download or perhaps a hardware issue? =[

Also, another problem I've got: when I try taking a picture, it never focuses. I keep trying and trying but it always takes the picture with the red circle, never green. Is that normal? Might I have a defective camera? I'll try a redownload of the zip one more time.

The camera software not realizing that it is focused is normal as long as the pictures are actually coming in clear.

Ahh... so no ones' Triumph on CM7 ever gets the "green" focus lines? Okay glad to know I'm not the only one. Now to figure out why the status bar control for brightness isn't working.. hmm.. reflashing a fresh download now.

I'm not sure that even the official builds have the green focused... I think it's a problem with cm7.

Okay, I've reflashed a new downloaded zip file and it seems that the status bar brightness control works but I just need to swipe up and down really slowly.. Is this the norm with others? I remember on the Optimus V, I just put my finger to the very right of the status bar and it automatically changes brightness. Whereas here, I have to slowly move my finger from one end to the other.

@marc12868: by official builds, you mean other devices or just other official builds for Triumph? I remember it focused perfectly with my Optimus V CM7 Backside with the "green" lines and all XD

I mean official builds for all devices. I remember when I still had the OV and the camera would focus and it would still be red, eventually the dev for the OV fixed it though. That was quite a while ago though lol.

The green ring is in there, I've seen it in the.apk. And what I've read in the source code, out should work. I think the app may need a delay timer to get to success. What I was going to do was just change the link between the success and fail rings.

Ooh no no I meant the sliding function on the status bar to control the brightness. It's under CM settings > Interface > Status bar tweaks then status bar brightness control. This feature always worked for me on the Optimus V and I loved it..
That is what I was referring to; it works on mine and my wife's.

It hangs on the Splash Screen (Motorola Logo),
It hangs when you power on by holding volume down + power buttons? (there is no splash screen in that mode) Edit: NVM, I see you got it. You can put CWM in there after renaming the OEM recovery.img to something else (like recovery.img.OEM)

Thanks for all the work put in, I'm really enjoying this ROM (Initially on reloaded 12-02-02, and upgraded today to 12-03-25). I noticed that I can't get the Settings -> CyanogenMod settings -> Lockscreen -> Unlock options -> "Skip on security" checkbox to take any effect. I have a pin, and would like to skip the slide to unlock feature. This seemed to work fine in Unloaded 12-02-02, but since upgrading, it seems checking/unchecking the box doesn't take any effect. Any one else have this issue? or any ideas where i could look? Thanks!
I briefly used a battery saver that overrode the lock screen settings; are you using any such app?
The same goes for brightness levels.

re: CM7 + gapps. Yes, you install it from CWM.

The status bar brightness control on MT's CM7 is a bit buggy for some reason. I had to swipe and wait about 2-3 seconds while holding finger in the status bar area, then start swiping left & right to adjust brightness, if the finger left the status bar area it would stop registering. The OV's CM7 behavior is much more predictable.

Also blarf fixed the green focus icon in CM7 on OV a while back, it's a bug in CM7. Pictures come out focused fine.

Anybody know how to make it so my phone vibrates when I revieve a text? I can't get into message setting like I could on stock ROM.

Also when I touch n hold a app it wont let me move it?

In CWM recovery, restore your stock backup. If you somehow forgot to do a NANDROID backup, b_randon14 has made a flashable zip of the Stock Rom

So it would have all my apps already installed with everything sync on that from the last time I did the NANDROID backup? or would I have to re-install al my apps like when I put on CM7?
