Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

thanks for the suggestion, however, I do not want to the power button to end the calls; I am using it to access things in my phone during calls.

k I just thought headset functionality might be included in that setting cuz I can't think of any others that might apply to that on ctmod.

menu button. preferences. some where in there
I tried that but it didn't do anything. Restarting the phone seems to have fixed it though but now USB debugging doesn't work even though it's enabled in the settings. The phone doesn't even see that it's connected to my computer even though it's charging just fine.

I've had that happen before, had a twisted wire in my USB cable. Replaced and worked fine... GL man... sounds like you're trying everything though.

first of all did you reinstall drivers?
always reboot computer after install drivers
open cmd.exe
if adb is not in your path then
cd c:\path to adb\

type
adb devices

anything happen/show
could be connecting but not notifying you in status bar. their a build.prop edit to fix if that the case.

You can try installing alogcat, then test, test and test, you can view device logs using that app, once running you can trigger the issue and review the logs for a hint.

Doing that with it connected doesn't show anything. Odd. It worked when I had 3.5 on it a few hours earlier. Any idea why it doesn't work now?

get usbdeview Google it it's free

in options in program have it show disconnected devices. then uninstall every thing Android or Samsung. reboot. reinstall phone drivers. reboot. plug phone in. if that no work idk what problem could be other than cord. what your OS? XP/7.... 32/64 bit?

7 x64. I'll try the usbdeview program and try it.

Edit: Figured it out. It was the USB port on my computer that was the problem.

I'm guessing that I'm just mis reading and misunderstanding things that are being said to me on this forum. All this time I thought it was all setup and working the way it's supposed to, and it's not. My head hurts. lol I dont get it.

I know how yeah feel. XP k gave up and ima wait till kouma makes it simpler. XD

I have an older version of CTMod on my prevail now. Ive never been able to get apps to mount to sd card.

Im not sure if my card is partitioned or partitioned correctly.

I want to install CTMod 3.6 all fresh and have apps on my sd card.

with 3.6 can I just install the rom and it will partition my card automatically regardless of how it's setup now?

if you want to run data just partition in cwm after install of 3.6 and then go settings/ ctmod/koumakernal then select data then reboot and should be good to install apps and stuff. if want ssm goto the sticky/guide/ctmod and on last page follow my instructions of the updated one for partitioning for ssm.

Partition info lite

Free in market. Easiest way to check if you set up right. Partition sizes neatly displayed in bar graph. All it do is
"df" in terminal
But pretty picture instead of jumble of numbers
