Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Kind of stupid question, but I can't upgrade to a newer CTMod just yet. I keep getting the notification that I have an update ready to install. I of course don't want to do this, but I'd like to delete any of this patch that is stored on my phone and stop it from showing up again until I'm ready to update the ROM myself.

Can someone guide me?

Thanks!

Which version are you running now? and yes you can upgrade and then upgrade tomorrow again if a new one comes out again! Where are you getting notifications from? Goo manager ok, a system update from samsung or boost no way if rooted!!

If it's the Goomanager update then go into Goomanager/settings/ROM update frequency, then select NEVER. That will stop it from checking for the update and disable the notification. ;)

Bloodawn - Big thanks for everything you've done on CTMod... CTMod is the only thing that made my 18 month sentence to Boost Mobile even remotely survivable...

Alas, my wife (an me too really) can't put up with the Sprint tower only thing anymore... simply too many places we ride, hike, et al. with ZERO service... Not worth the risk to save some money.

As of 3 days ago, we moved to Verizon and 32GB Galaxy S3s... It's a pretty big kick in the pocketbook, but the service is worth it...

Thank you again!

PS - I have 2 Prevails in super great condition available for sale if anyone wants/needs them. PM me an offer...

Themes for older versions will not work with this.
There will be a delay the first time you open CT settings and Partition settings (partition settings will stay black for a min or 2) for granting SU to them, after that they will be ok.

This will be the last version I release for CTMod. I started this project on October 18, 2011 trying to make the lightest, fastest, most stable ROM I could and I think it is now at the point where I can call it complete.

Thank you to kouma, hroark, everyone who has donated, helped test and left feedback, this wouldn't be where it is today without you guys.

Enjoy guys.

Wired? Happy but kinda sad at same time, that this is it! Thx Blood and everyone for this awesome rom! Now we just need some updated themes or new ones to go with the new and last updated GREAT ROM!! ヽ(

Whoever knows : What does the "Hot Boot" do compared to other "boots or reboot " ??? Thx.....

PS: Installing right now.....

Great job blood, I like everything about it, lock screen is awesome. prl update is nice can't wait to try it at work tomorrow hopefully it will make a difference. GPS is superb. i've had two problems so far though no matter how many times I try including selecting wait when it says it's struggling, the partition settings always force close. Also as another very minor inconvenience it takes two attempts to connect to the camera. I don't use a the camera often enough for this to be a huge problem and my SD card is already partitioned so I don't see that as a problem (although I would like to know what I'm missing out on).
Thank YOU Blooddawn for all of your hard work and everyone here on android forums prevail, I haven't needed to post much in the past, I'm not much of a provider but so many things have been answered by many of the people here.

Again thank you and I'm so stoked to have this ROM on my phone, although I do hope to have a new phone in the next couple of months

Its for doing a quicker reboot primarily app installs/uninstalls/updates etc. That require reboot, I wouldn't use it for more advanced things that require reboots (stuff like koumamod)

partition settings is just kouma's SDparter app, its for creating SD partitions so if you already have one your good. but if you really want to use it after you grant it SU access and you reboot it should open up fine, might fix your camera issue too.

I have been off the Prevail for several months, but ...

I want to say that both Bloodawn and Koumajutsu are BEAST and have helped all of us. I am installing 3.75 on my backup phone and plan to play around with it for fun.

Thanks again Bloodawn for making the Prevail all it can be,

Hooooooah!

edit: Did I mention that both Bloodawn and Koumajutsu = BEAST ? ... cool.

3.68
Battery Drains - nevermind the usual suspects but since changing to 4 partitions I noticed a huge difference in my battery life. Using SSM with the 4th partition option [fat | ext4 | ext4 | swap] ,
is it normal for the battery to drain faster?

Blood:
Version 3.75 Final release
New RemovedApps.zip uploaded for CT 3.75 only

So the RemovedApps.zip on the first post in it's usual spot is the updated one for 3.75 then right?

Wow. CTMod FINAL for the Prevail. I remember when Bloodawn announced the release of the 1st CTMod last year. Little did I know then how much fun it would be to watch this ROM grow and become what it is today. I also consider it an honor to have been part of the testing and development of this amazing piece of work. I've learned a lot along the way and I have Blood and the awesome people here in this forum to thank for it.

This message is being sent from my LG Marquee proudly running CTMod 3.75 Final. :)

Thanks for everything, Bro.

Kouma, thanks for all of your contributions. You make a mean kernel bro. You've taught me a lot along the way too and for that, I say thank you.

I just check it out and so far it seems very fast!
Thanks to everyone involved for all of their hard work and diligence!

I have a quick question and I'm a newbie so please forgive my ignorance.
Previously I had followed the 3.68 prevail guide and set my phone in "data mode" with the "disable internal data" box checked.
After installing CTMod 3.75 I wanted to configure it in the same manner, but I no longer see the option for "disable internal data"
Has this option been removed or made automatic when data mode is chosen?
Thanks again!

Hey guys....
Of all the newbies i think im the worse...lol... so with that in mind... i downloaded the update through goo manager but i dont now how to install it... help please....

Hi, I just wanted to chime in to say that while I am sure the 3.75 update is great in most ways, the 3G icon is now screwed up. With 3.75, my phone's icon always indicates 3G, even when the phone is in 1X. What's worse is the phone will not get a true 3G signal in my house (data speed is 97kbps avg). I went back to 3.68 and the problem immediately stopped. The 1X icon displays when the phone is getting a 1X signal, and 3G when the signal is true 3G. More importantly, the phone grabs a nice 3g signal at -100db. Data speed is 800kbps.

I am not sure what caused this, and I would love to have the 3.75 update, but until or unless the issues above are fixed, I will be sticking with 3.68. I do like some of the other changes in 3.75, but they are not worth the poor data speeds.

What baseband are you useing now? and the update is useing ff19, might be your problem. You can change the baseband if it is different!

You are rooted right? In goo just hit reboot recovery and flash there or hit flash roms and you will have to reconfigure your phone, it wipes all data!

Hey Blood, thanks for the final update really appreciate it! Everything seems fantastically great about this update so far. Although I think I found one little issue. The WiFi icon in the Quickpanel seems to be backwards. When I select it to turn it on the line underneath turns white while the actual WiFi icon turns grey. No big deal, just a heads up.

Thanks again! =)
