Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Pardon me if this has been anwsered (I go through a lot of forums researching) but would updating the boost default prl to a sprint prl be beneficial to improve 3g by allowing me to connect to more sprint towers or would it be a waste of time.

If your area has more sprint towers this would be a big benefit for you.

Also I have heard(whether true or not I could not say) boost prl will give preferred speeds to sprint customers so you may increase your speed by using sprint prl to "fool" the network into thinking your a sprint phone.

Thank you very much Optimus! As usual you are a constant help to me :-) I have gotten a few prls, going to try them out and see which one works better.

I like 11115

That is the newest(that I know of) business prl, I like it because it has all the towers listed. There is a post somewhere on the net that tells the differences.
 
thanks blood ...up and running great!!!!...its still okay to get rid of the same system apps as 2.3? like bluetooth..calc...music?

Yeah been going on since 2.3 but didn't want to bug you. Take off debugging and it shows the prompt but once I click mass storage it all closes out. Seems like something is blocking permission but I dunno. BTW 2.4 is pretty good. Hoping for a blue theme and hopefully purple one.

I updated WP7 Blue to work on 2.4

did you try using using odin to see if it works?
 
so I loaded the rom today ( LOVE IT BTW ) but this battery is still dying WAY to fast... I ran my phone from 100% charge down to dead in a lil over 4 hours. The phone its self should be fine right? I really think I have a jacked up battery... any ideas?
 
hey optimus...i also have a 16gb sd ..not sure what class..changed from 2048 cache size to 3072 cache size...

at 2048- read speeds = 27.4
at 3072- read speeds=32.9
have you tried a size bigger then 3072?

yes I tried 4gb=4096 and my read speed dropped down to 29ish but like you at 3072 its over 32ish.
I dont remember the exacts, it was months ago I tested.

i too have noticed that over the past month or so..i tryed everything to conserve battery ..no better results..also tryed uninstalling various apps to see if maybe it was an individual app..but still nothing..unfortunately ive learned to kinda live with it
