Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

I just went back to ee14 stock, then to EJ06 Gingerbread Rooted Image with CWM5 made by Chin Checka, and I'm staying here for now until I know exactly what's going on.

are you using a partitioned SD card? (to put apps on the SDcard via DTA2SD or Link2SD)

If not, then 1.1 will run the same as 1.0 because the only change that was made affects the way apps work from the extended SD card.

1.1 does an all-or-nothing approach to apps on the SD card.

the other solutions let you pick some stuff to stay on the internal, which can make some things faster at the expense of massive amounts of space.

If you'd rather the flexibility, use 1.0. If you'd rather the simple, "put it all on there" approach, use 1.1

If you don't partition your SDcard, use either, they work out to be the same

lol. I'm sorry man, maybe I been hit in the head too many times. So your saying after I install CTMod 2.4, and then install your new kernel, then I actually do, or don't have to partition my card, and right now it is not, because your kernel will do it automaticly even if its not partitioned with an ext.
? -and by do it automaticly I mean move apps to sd.

was wondering if a2sd had a command to move a specific app to internal. I know "remove" moves back all the apps to internal.

I tried to do the entire thing all over again, this time after installing A2SD from within CWM, after I created/partitioned the ext partition, I tried to go back and format it, it gave an error and said it could not format it, I also could not mount it as well.

So that does not work for me.

?

I have been at this it seems for months. lol I'm about to give up and just stay with stock. screw it.
hey sorry I took so long to look in this, been a busy week fell asleep in my chair this afternoon.:o

Ok remember how we got it working before? You copied all your stuff off the sd card we used cwm to partition it, 0 for swap and 1024 for ext?

well that will always be that way unless you go in and change it again. You would have to go to partition in recovery and do the same as we did before.

So lets go on you then do NOT need to odin back to EE14. using odin you go directly to EJ06 chin checka's version and your back on rooted gingerbread.

At that point you want to put ctmod and kuma kernel 1.1 on your sd card and then go into recovery and flash from sd menu choose ctmod let it do its thing then go back to sd card and choose kuma kernel 1.1 let it do its thing. and thats it your done, then you reboot and enjoy the apps transfering to sd all on there own.
You will know its working because the /data will be 1024mb or 1gb depending on how it looks at it. You can see that in both root explorer and in the menu /settings/storage

sorry optimus, you did so much stuff involving the command prompt, I could not follow along after a while, I will give that a try, right now I am back at EJ06 chin checka's version.

I think you also did a few more steps that are not in the instructions as far as mounting things, I'm not sure.

As of right now, before I install CTMod 2.4, I have to go into CWM and partition it, I did try to change it, I wanted to go higher, but I'm being told I have to mount and format it after making the partition, that does not work, or am I just confusing myself.

I would say mostly confusing yourself
lol :p

ok did I help you on team viewer?
I can do so again now if you want

Hey Bandaid, thanks, I actually did that 7 times, still wound up with the same issues I mentioned above.

I installed CTMod 2.4, then after it rebooted I went back into CWM and tried to partition the sd card to 2048 with 0 swap and then 1024 with 0 swap, and it just sits, never takes this long, but it will not partition. I even tried mounting the 2 things your supposed to mount before hand (like in the a2sd install) won't take. Tried it both ways.

can you pop out the sd card and load onto your laptop or desktop? Does it see it?

ok guys, Optimus helped me out with this one, I still never could figure out what was wrong withthe a2sd install, so I just went and did what Mvaness suggested earlier and installed the KoumaKernel 1.1 GB CWM over my fresh install of CTMod 2.4.

I installed CTMod, then went into CWM, partitioned my sdcard, (did not mount anything) rebooted, put the KoumaKernel 1.1 GB CWM zip on my sd, went back into cwm, installed it, rebooted, all is good.

That was easy. ... lol

I happy now.

Thanks everyone!

It seems like everytime I try to fix something that is not working, I wind up installing something new alltogether.

If you have a DualBoot system with Linux it can.
There are some apps/tools out there that can supposedly do so with windows, but most are buggy or a total PITA.

I keep an Ubuntu LiveUSB around for if I need to use EXT filesystems at home.

Just threw this together today. I've been working on something new so I haven't had much time to do any major stuff

Verson 2.5
New lock screen clock
Fixed browser zoom button
GPS tweaks
Performance tweaks
Updated market
Changed a few images in the theme
Couple new init.d scripts

Heres a screenshot of the lock screen clock

I'll update the WP7 theme for 2.5 tomorrow

I noticed that after I install KoumaKernel 1.1 GB CWM it makes the CTMod 2.4 Dock disapear. Don't know where it went.

Hey Bloodawn,

I have been waiting to try this out ever since you mentioned it earlier. A question. Is it possible to make the removed apps cwm zippable? Lordvincent mentioned something like it in the nemesis thread. That way a person could delete the stuff from the zip they don't want, and keep stuff like live wallpapers, for example, and just flash it from cwm. Or, could I just add stuff that I want to your emailfix zip, and do it that way?

does this have kouma latest kernel?

Sorry for the long post, I do appreciate your work
