Root [ROM] CyanogenMod 7 for the LG Optimus M MS690

Ok so the only quirks I found so far are. I don't like how the power button ends the call. And When I power down the phone to quick charge the phone while it's off, the phone just reboots back into the OS and not the Charge Screen. Anyone else having that problem?

You can't charge while powered down all the CM7 Roms are like that. Bobs ROM should have the ability in the next update though. As far as power button ending your call I believe you can change that in settings

been using this rom and reppards for the past few days... I am constantly having to force close out of apps... phone, facebook, gmail, market, etc. It's happening very often... any suggestions?

Thanks

Did you wipe dalvik, wipe cache before flashing mms patch? And did you toggle signature before flashing?

Ive been running this rom for awhile now with everything working since day one, lovin it.

Hope that helps.:D

I didn't disable it before flashing cm7 no, butusually when it needs it it gives an error like (unable to verify signature). I can't disable it before flashing the no mms fix because i don't have cwm recovery installed i can only flash the fixfrom within android using rom manager.
It rebooted me into recovery and flashes automatically.

yea PG cm7 does limit you with mms, so far I liked Bob's cm7 the best, everything works including mms and wired headset and it has center clock tweaks and a few more tweaks than this rom and I haven't had a single reboot since I flashed it and I'm stable OC @ 787

hmm, sounds like everyone is suggesting different CM7 roms to fix different problems. It appears there isn't one CM7 rom for our phones that can do all of the basic features, like mms. That should be a feature in all roms.

yes, all items but the sdcard. Wiped, flashed the ROM, flashed gapps and rebooted. The force closes and freezing are so frustrating... It even happened stock, but nowhere near the amount that it did with these roms. I used the lg update tool to go back to 2.2.2(?)... hopefully I can figure something out.

Thanks

Did you do a full wipe before you flashed?

PlayfulGod. Thank you for creating such an amazing. The plauge 2.0 kernal is the only one with smaller increments in CPU speed which my phone can handle. GPS works great. The is only one issue I can't seem to resovle myself. I am using darktremors a2sd included in your rom and I can't seem to get the dalvik cache to move to my sd-ext3 partition. The apps currently reside on the partition. I have 3 partitions, 1 for my crap, 1 for apps and cache, and 1 for swap. its a 16gb class 4 partitioned to 1gb, 1gb, 14gb. When I type a2sd check into the terminal, its says under dalvik cache, setup issue. please run a2sd repair. I did so and it has not fixed the issue. I also tried it through adb shell and still no results. Any clue to what I should do? Thank you in advanced!

Now available in ROM Manager!

How do I find it? I went ahead and paid the fee to get RM premium and I went into the download ROM section. All that's in there is the free stuff (gapps, Cerberus and such). I see a heading for premium but there's nothing under it and I can't tap it to are if it will expand.

Monday - Friday it will show in the free section n in the paid on the weekends, due to koush hosting it with his dev portal. Just keep checking back, it prolly just hadnt updated yet at the time.

Ok. Went there today and it was there. What's the last update done to this one?

Edit: Or did I do that already??? lol

Thanks. I remember the last time I tried it, I was getting some weird screen problems; ie the screen would sometimes get off center (the left quarter would be on the right side as if it was wrapping around). I may just try it to see how it goes and just to say that I've down loaded a ROM from ROM manager. :-) That alone is really cool for the Optimus M.

So I tried it yesterday; for times. Each time I downloaded it through RM and each time it didn't work. It'd start to flash and then some error would occur. I sent the email to RM once, like it was suggested in the error text. Two of those tries I tried it manually. I'd boot into CWM and go and find the zip file and got the same error. I didn't try to re download from your wiki though.

What error are you getting?

Playfulgod i was wondering when you have time if you can help me with errors on compiling cm7. im getting audio errors. Ty have a nice day.

So, last night I down loaded the ROM from your wiki, straight to my computer and then copied it via usb connection to my phone. While I had it usb connected, I used an md5 checker and made sure that the codes matched what you had on your wiki and they did. When I tried to flash it, I got the same error I posted up in post #569. I was booted directly into CWM (ver 5.0.2.7) and was trying to flash it from there, rather than going through ROM Manager (running the latest free and I also have the latest paid version).
