So does the new 4.4.4 stable include the new baseband or do I need to flash that separately?

I just flashed the new build and it didn't change my baseband version, which I fastboot flashed the new radio M8974a-2.0.50.1.16 a couple of days ago when it was released, so I believe it's included. If you flash the new DU build and you go to -
"Settings/about phone/baseband" and your baseband version # is M8974a-2.0.50.1.16 then your on the newest radio and it's included in the build.

OP updated with latest stable release.

FYI - the latest baseband seems to be a little more battery friendly.

Gonna clean flash this business when I get home from work tonight :)

Yeah, think I will too. I've had no problems dirty flashing since 4.4.2 and have been lazy, but, two official upgrades and two basebands later, I think I'd better do a clean flash and not press my luck further. Going to use it as an excuse to actually test the current kernel for at least a few days rather than going right to Franco. Will probably grab Trickster Mod to use as a kernel tweaker. Will probably Nandroid before I begin kernel tweaking, lol. :D

Radios aren't included with ROMs. That's something you will have to flash separately. The last thing we want to do is accidentally brick someone's device.

If I flashed the new baseband before clean flashing the ROM do I need to flash the new baseband again? I'm getting erratic changes in signal since clean flashing last night.

No, baseband has nothing to do with the ROM. Once the basband is flashed, it's flashed. Haven't had any problems here.

Cool, thanks. My issue could have been weather related, we had some pretty wild winds overnight/early this morning, maybe a tower got knocked out or something? Seems to be ok now that I'm at work :)

Was just on DU Google+ and it Looks like we'll be seeing Theme Chooser added to the DU test builds very soon, if not already. :thumb:

Edit:
There is a build up with Theme Chooser. Although it's not NYCHitman1's build... So I'll wait for his release.
Also they have added a Test Build section on DU Google+ for the future test build releases. Should be easier to track and follow.

I flashed it, seems to be no issues so far, themes are cool!

Fffffffinally updated to the latest official release and new radio. I feel like I'm way behind. :)

Was happy where I was at though...

I hate to be the one to ask this question but I've tried looking can't figure it out. How do I update the radio? Thanks!!

Hey Hunter5,
Don't feel bad for having to ask. That's what we are Herr for.. To help each other.
Take a look at this radio/modems download link, thanks to AutoPrime - Listing of Modems

If your wanting to install the newest radio go to the download page a select either the Nexus 5 KTU84P radio.img or KTU84P radio.zip

The KTU84P radio.img is meant to be flashed through fastboot only. If your familiar with fastboot command then this is the basic instructions.
It's easier to rename the KTU84P radio.img to just radio.img and then move it to the Platform Tools folder in the android-SDK or where ever you have your fastboot.exe stores on your PC.
Then Reboot to fastboot/bootloader, open command prompt and type:

fastboot flash radio radio.img

What for confirmation that the radio partition has been wrote to and your done.

The KTU84P radio.zip can be flashed through your CWM or TWRP recovery. Boot to recovery and select install zip from, (where ever you have the radio.zip downloaded/stored on your N5) select the radio.zip and flash. There is no need to wipe anything when flashing a radio.

Edit:
Ninjad by Hook again... :D Lol. Thanks Hook

OK, my next dumb question. (Sorry I'm at work 60hrs a week and don't have much time to research) When at work I am not a heavy user and the last few days since the latest update, I've notice when checking my battery status it shows phone idle has the biggest %. Is this normal or is there something keeping the phone awake. Note that I always set my phone up the same way and I can say that I'm not getting bad battery life just not what it was before. Again sorry for the dumb question. LOL!

Excited about the impeding enabling of Heads Up in Dirty Unicorns! I flashed Carbon yesterday so I could play with Hover but it just doesn't feel the same despite the similarities in features. Looking forward to flashing the first DU build with Heads Up!

EDIT: I should probably clarify I'm saying that Carbon doesn't feel the same as DU not that Hover doesn't feel the same as Heads Up (I've never used Heads Up so I wouldn't know). There's just something special about DU, it's my jam :)

I've been in DU for a few days now and I just down get it. I thought this would be similar to PACman - loads of features brought in from other roms, and put together in one laggy package.

Guys, I'm really struggling to find the lag, or any problems actually. It's weird to find a rom where the only downside is me not liking the shut down animation :D

Also have a few questions -

Is there a way to get pie mode, or do I need the app/xposed module for it?

Is there a way to remove the white background when typing in landscape? I've seen the option in another rom but I couldn't find it here.

Another one, although not exactly rom related - how would i go about getting a 4x4 widget in my notification area?

Pretty sure you need the app for pie, xposed is not recommended when using Dirty Unicorns (and to be fair the ROM covers pretty much everything xposed does).

Not sure about your other questions, sorry.

So I clean flashed 4.4.4 the night before last and I also flashed the new radio. Ever since then I have had only H+ service when I usually have 4G LTE everywhere and sometimes I don't have service at all. I can connect to WiFi but if I get off it takes a few minute to even show bars. How can I fix this? I have AT&T if that makes any difference.

I'm having no problem with DU 4.4.4 and the new radio on AT&T. Try doing a simulated battery pull and see if that clears anything up. Hold the power button (ignore pop-up menu) until the unit spontaneously shuts down. Release the power button and it will restart on its own.

Still nothing. Now it at least switches from H+ too LTE after like 20 minutes of being on H+. I have tried reinstalling the ROM and radio and still nothing.

I would reflash the previous radio version that you were using before updating to the KTU84P radio and see if the problem still persists.
If it solves the issue then just continue using that radio.

I would recommend just using LMT Launcher if you want PIE. We don't plan on adding it - mostly because none of us find it to be a useful feature. Secondly, I highly protest against users using Xposed modules on DU. It causes way too many issues in the framework. Plus - quite frankly, there's no need to when you already have this much customization available to you.

Yeah I did and that fixed it. I just wanted to see if there was something I was missing. I wonder why the radio won't work? Ahh well. ROM is smooth though
