Root [ROM]|Feb 6 2012| Energy

Yeah, i don't think any of the Sense 3.5 Roms have 4G since Sprint doesn't yet have one in their line up.

I am just wondering is anyone has tried this fix (MMS Fix) yet? Does it seem weird that you delete over 4,000 pans and replace them with one...or am I not understanding this correctly? What exactly is an apn?

I'm having the MMS problem also and I just flashed this ROM this morning. I'm gonna try something else tonight as I use MMS often. Hope they fix it soon because I like this ROM.

I just applied the fix and it seems to be working so far. Just still wondering why I replaced over 4,000 apns with 2 and do I not need all those other apns?

Just an FYI...Im running the latest version of Energy and the new Anthrax kernel on my inactive phone, I followed your mount/unmount procedure, but you have to do it immediately after flashing the Kernel, because if you follow the Kernel directions, it says to wipe cache/dalvik right after flashing, but if you do that, it mounts data again, not sure if it makes a difference, but I reflashed it anyway, per procedure....then I stood on my head...patted my belly and turned around 3 times etc...Lmao!:D:eek: really though...this seems to be a speedy setup, I was wanting to experiment before putting it on my active phone, looks like everything works that I can test anyway!:)

So I'm thinking of trying this ROM today, quick question about flashing Anthrax with it: I saw in the xda thread that some say you should only wipe davik, and not cache when flashing a kernel (and doing that mount un-mount business)... but I see you guys here say to wipe both as per usual -- can anyone clarify which I should do, and why some gave that davik only advice?

When flashing a kernel, you must wipe cache and dalvik cache before flashing the kernel;)

But before flashing a kernel on any Sense 3.5 rom you must do the mount/unmount data trick so wifi doesn't get borked, so.......

Do this for flashing a kernel on Sense 3.5 roms:

1 Boot to recovery
2 Wipe cache
3 Wipe Dalvik cache
4 Go to mounts and mount data
5 Then go to instal zip from sdcard and flash kernel
6 Go back to mounts and unmount data
7 Reboot

All other roms, there's no need to do step 4 and 6 ;)

I can confirm that mms on the Jan 11 build does work but if you have your sdcard partitioned and would like to use a2sd then you will have to flash darktremor's a2sd;)

So I got this loaded up with anthrax, and am liking it so far. I love that this is sized correctly for our screens.
But another question since I'm new to sense 3.5: where is the Photo Grid widget? Was it removed from this ROM, or is that something that is in Sense 3.0 but not 3.5? Or am I missing something obvious?

I just flashed the latest version of this ROM which he swears the MMS is functional now and I still have no MMS. It's the only thing not working that I can tell. And this ROM is draining my battery fast.

Strange, the last 2 releases mms didn't work for me but in the latest Jan 11 release, mms works fine.

I also know that the 12/25 release worked, did you try that one also?

Seems like he trimmed down these last 2 releases so it's possible that he took it out. I've never used Photo Grid so there's a possibility it was never in the rom to begin with. My guess is that you could find it another rom, back up via TB, then restore on this rom. It's not a system app so it shouldn't cause any issues with restoring it

Thanks -- I asked this question over in the xda thread as well, so if I don't get a response there I may try this... I know it's a small thing, but I really like that widget. :)

Yea, I know that feeling. When you get used to something that you like, it's a downer when it's not in there:p

To follow up, I got a reply from someone over at xda, who told me I may have accidentally deleted some of those apps by wiping cache in recovery -- it seems some are stored in the cache on this rom. So I may have to reflash. I thought I had read thoroughly before flashing, but live and learn. ;)

MMS is working for me in the latest build (1.11.12). At this point unless something really huge changes with this ROM I have found my daily driver!

I like this ROM but just can't get MMS working. I just Re-rooted my phone 2 days ago and first started with Team Nocturnal Shooter 4.4 but had rebooting issues so I wiped everything and flashed Energy 1/5 but when I couldn't get MMS working I read it was an issue to I flashed 1/10 when it came out and still nothing, so I read again that it was still and issue and so he created 1/11 which said that was fixed. I flashed that this morning and still cannot get pics. It shows a "Download" button to press but it never loads it. I eventually get an error message. I don't know what to do to fix this. I'm not real tech savvy but smart enough to get this far. :)

So I reflashed the ROM and anthrax kernal (without wiping cache in between or after) and now everything seems to be working! MMS, photgrid widget, bliss rosie, quick launch widget... think I may actually stick with this one for more than a few days. ;)

But now I have a really dumb question: I usually use Quick System Info to clear my app cache regularly... I assume it wouldn't touch what is built into the rom, but since I wasn't supposed to clear the cache in recovery because part of the rom is stored there, I'm worried... should I not use this clear-all app, or are we talking about different caches?

Others may have a different opinion but I personally feel that 4G will never work on these ports until we have a Sprint phone with Sense 3.5. Again, just my opinion:)

I agre. Anyway excluding 4g and MMS this i a great rom. its fast, clean, and has alot of custom options. the camera is improved too. Give it run.

The 1/11 build should have mms fixed, there shouldn't be any issue. Did you do a full wipe before flashing the 1/11 build?

You can use cache cleaners, should not cause any issue;)

Yup, Did a Factory reset, Cache, Dalvik, and Data wipe. Even flashed Superwipe. Flashed 1/11 and still no MMS and Voicemail app won't work properly. I gave up a little while ago and flashed MikG V3.0 cause I want something that works fully without chasing issues as I just don't have the time for that.

Since you're now on MikG, go ahead and update prl and update profile, this may help in the mms issue if you decide to try Energy again
