Root [ROM][FINAL] CM7 7.2 RC1 - g60 style [7.11.12]

Just lost power 45 minutes into a repo sync,. 20 Minutes ago it looked like the planet was beeing sucked into a black hole outside now its beautiful and the birds are a cherping.

On another note I have found that Vital Player work very well on the Triumph.

Throughout the course of documenting this thing, I've found that "hard" random reboots (the ones where you see the g60 logo or Motorola logo) don't seem to occur on the latest ROMs, sometime after CM7.2-rc1. However, "soft" reboots (where the Motorola/g60 log does not show up, just the boot animation with Andy Bugdroid) seem to occur now, perhaps even more often than before. This seems to happen on my phone after about a week, but rebooting into recovery and wiping the cache and dalvik cache seems to remove the problem, at least until it occurs again in about a week. The problem is, if one doesn't clear the cache, bootloops will result. This may have to do with some sort of corruption In the cache. Is there any sort of way we can prevent this from occurring?

MX Player is by far probably the best Video Player for Android. Plays videos well, and plays just about any type of video as well!
I just got it and it played all the videos. Thanks for the info on it!Got to see my time with Jacoby from Papa Roach back at chilli cookoff 2010.

so is there any progress with this mod? I don't want to get the evo because I want to let everyone else get it first to see what's wrong with it. I love this phone but I want ginger bread and a new look. Any progress? I'm sure there is...just checking.

This is a Gingerbread ROM. There are few minor issues that g60 is currently working on, none of them should deter you from flashing the current release. The only major non working component is HDMI and that's not going to change anytime soon, if ever. What other progress are you looking for?

Yes, there will be progress, but not so much currently. I'm currently working on documentation and prerelease testing, and g60madman is busy for the next two weeks or so with a business trip. I highly doubt he'll stop working on this anytime soon (NOT 100% SURE) but I'd say it's a safe bet. As for the time being, development will resume after the business trip and other personal work matters are out of the way. I'm still reporting bugs, trying to help out on the forums, and write some documentation. And I still have to finish my schooling. So development isn't going to stop now, it's just on a temporary hiatus. :)

Thanks that's all I needed to know. I know it's gingerbread and I know it's a good one and I know most major things work. I was asking progress besides all that great stuff.

I'm getting a battery drain and BetterBatteryStats has identified it as wakelock BQ275x0. I searched the forums and it's been mentioned several times with no definitive answer. Someone identified it as a battery process, but did not know why it would cause a wakelock. Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have 360 launcher installed? It's either that or a part of the kernel. I'm not 100% sure of what causes it...

No, I'm currently using ADW, but I noticed the drain with Zeam, also. A Google search shows several people theorizing that BQ275x0 is a kernel issue.

In the last few days I have started having issues getting wifi to connect.
Wifi issues are a known bug, and more than likely will be fixed one day, and I plan on looking into it somehow to help g60 fix this bug (If he can) once I finish updating the documentation. :)

I've had that also once. I cleared the caches and that seemed to fix it. I've flashed so many time that I can't remeber what I had at that time, but I normally get around 18 hours on my normal use, when I normally unplug, I'll loose about 4% from reading on the kindle app and leaving it in airplane mode, then my alarm. I'll useally have less than 20% by the time I go to bed, unless I do some long time hacking on the phone.

Anyway, I have also found the same info you have, seems to be a battery service.

awesome rom! only thing I can throw in is for the recent apps display when you long press the home key, it would be cool if it had the sense look to it or something a little more up to date. love the rom and keep up the continued developement for cm7

With the latest ROM build and no wifi/bluetooth enabled, my battery lasts 4+ days unless I use the phone a lot... so it's got to be something you installed.

How do you get that much time? I have wifi/bluetooth disabled, Data on, Autosync on. I also have a push exchange email account set up. I get maybe 18 hours. That is no phone calls and about 15 to 20 sms a day.

I don't know if this is just my phone or a ROM issue but for some reason now the back button won't always work. It's being spotty like it was on stock ROM.I'm not sure if it's my phone or the ROM but figured I would pass it along in case it was a ROM issue.

Welcome to the Triumph being the Triumph. There is a short on the phone that sometimes has this issue like the phone doesn't react. If you hit home button, and then menu the back will work again. It's not always the same button some times home will freakout or menu. Sadly it's the joys of owning our phone.

We've all had that , I think. I peeled off the military grade screen protector and now I hardly ever notice laggy buttons and the phone seems more responsive in general

Happens with all ROMs but I have noticed that rotating the screen will make it work again most of the time.
