Root [ROM][FINAL] CM7 7.2 RC1 - g60 style [7.11.12]

Yeah what volume bug? If you do a full wipe and reload there is no volume bug. If you did an upgrade it's possible it's still there.

The low volume one, where you have to pause the music for ~6 seconds and then when you play it it's back at full volume.
Like I said, complete fresh install.

G60 got a question: do we need to Gapps as well, have to ask as ive done it with every flash

yes, Gapps needs to be flashed as well, altho if your just changing versions, r0.9 to r0.10 i dont believe you need to flash them again

i personally when flashing even if im just changing versions, wipe everything and reflash it all

Yes and No lol, there is one for Gingerbread roms, and a different one for ICS roms

the latest gingerbread one is called "gapps-gb-20110828-signed"

ICS ones have ics in the name where the gb is in the above name

Goo.im Downloads - Downloading gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip < gapps

Goo.im Downloads - Downloading gapps-gb-20110828-newtalk-signed.zip < gapps talk

So I decided to try out TWRP 2.1.3 and i noticed it had an option to format just the system. This made me wonder if it would be an advisable procedure to instead of factory resetting for every update, if you could just wipe both caches and system, leave data, and flash the update (and gapps?).

Ok, before I go on, I would like to say g60madman....you are the KING! I put your ROM on my MT and you could not pay me enough to go back to stock. All of my main issues went away with the install of the ROM. BTW, I am using the last version, not the current 6-3-12 one. Ok, so I am not sure if this has been discussed or not, but I "may" have found a bug. My cousin and her husband have stock android phones, galaxies on TM FYI. They can use bluetooth file transfer and share music and stuff. However I can pair with each one of them, but can not connect. I have not tried this on the stock froyo on MT to see if I am able to pair and connect. When I go into bluetooth settings, the phone appears and I can pair, but that is it. BTW, the other phone lists my phone and says "paired and connected" but fails when trying to send a file. Anyone have similar issues?

UPDATE: So I connected my MT to my blackberry and successfully sent a picture from my BB to my MT via bluetooth. Still can't sent anything to other phones, can only receive. Also, got a notification that the file transfer was complete on my MT and I clicked on it. It opened up the pic and after about 2 seconds after loading the phone restarted....

Could just be a coincidence, but I am getting very good battery life on the latest build.

Just went 24 hours to 10%

So I had this issue for a while, I don't know if it's a bug but I'll post it here. Most times when I go to Google Play and find that updates for my apps are available, i go to the app in question and instead of seeing the Update button I get the Open button. If I press back once to my apps and then back to the app I do now get the Update button and I'm able to update the app. This happens about 80-90% of the time.
BTW, I did a quick and dirty update from r9 to r10 and as I hoped, everything works just fine. I've been doing the quick and dirty since r.04 and went through r.06, r.08, r.09 now r.10 with no wipe data and everything is running smooth.

I did a quick and dirty update from r09 to r10 and now my WiFi & battery indicator are green. As long as I can remember and through all of my dirty flashes from one update to the next those have always been blue.

Is there some tweak that I forgot about or some other setting? Does this have to do with some of the Theme Chooser themes being removed from r10?

Edit: Nevermind...I figured it out. I extracted the Cyanbread theme from the r09 zip file and installed it. Problem solved. Thanks.

I just wanted to thank you all for your hard work on this ROM. I have been a happy MT user, since first installing the TG ROM.
You have made my phone great. The MT has never actually been a great "phone ", my tracfone had better coverage and battery. But the MT has been an amazing pocket computer! Oh ya I can also make a call now and then on it. I think I would have been just as happy without enabling the VM service.

Even though I had no intention of switching phones, I damaged my MT over the weekend. The great news for me is that the bestbuy extended service plan is replacing it with a 3VO.
I just wanted to say that this community has made the MT great. I appreciated all your hard work.

Thanks.

not trying to sidetrack the thread, but just curious, its good that bestbuy is willing to basically replace ur phone with an upgraded one, assuming your keeping VM, since its past may 31st doesnt that mean youll have to pay the extra $10/month or whatever on your next bill, on???

That's a Play Store bug. Happens to everyone.

I've found if I clear the app cache and data then reopen it everything works better.

I have never tried to bluetooth transfer before. Can you try and do this on the stock Froyo ROM and report back?

Yeah I pulled out all themes on the ROM as to lighten the size a bit. All pulled out stuff is online at

Index of /download/removed_apps

Also I completed the CynoCream theme as well (ICS) for the phone.

Hey, would you do another poll and see what ring times people want. That's about 30megs of data. Maybe just pull original audio or one of the audio packs instead of all audio?

No kidding? I never thought to look at the audio. Maybe we can just pull out all the rings tones and offer a secondary .zip to install them back in if some one really wants them?

Alright guys,
I have been doing ROM updates for a fairly long time. So I would like to think that I know how to do such a simple thing.

I did a full backup, complete wipe and fresh install of the current ROM (r0.10) and the GApps. On reboot the phone is stuck at the g60 Logo. I have tried several times.

Am I missing anything in the process that has changed... I try not to do quickie-updates because I dont want anything carried over, but I tried that as well to no avail.

Thanks for any help.

it should be the same as all the rest

wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache
wipe dalvik cache
install 60style r0.10
install gapps
install gapps talk (if u use it)
reboot

as always first reboot tends to take much longer then all other boots

That is what I thought, and that is exactly what I did. I even tried the "Back to Stock" route.
I am aware of the longer-than-normal first startup, but after it has been on the g60 logo for 20 minutes to an hour, I think that it isn't going to continue.
