Root [ROM][FINAL] CM7 7.2 RC1 - g60 style [7.11.12]

How do you get that much time? I have wifi/bluetooth disabled, Data on, Autosync on. I also have a push exchange email account set up. I get maybe 18 hours. That is no phone calls and about 15 to 20 sms a day.

Autosync and/or the push exchange must be the culprits. I don't bother with autosync unless I'm away from my computer for awhile. I usually manually sync email if I need to use it..

Just curious if anyone has had problems with charging. I will connect my phone to the charger and after a few minutes it will say battery is at 100 when it was only at 30 .. and it stops charging when it gets to 100 after I unplug it for a few more minutes it drops back down to 30. This isn't happening all the time but it is a reoccurring thing.

Any one else running into this?

No. But I had issues like that in the past. Try asking Virgin Mobile for a new battery. They should replace it for free. You could also try rebooting into recovery and going to advanced, wipe battery stats. That may also fix your problems.

Had something similar happening a week ago. I'd charge the phone with the original charger, it would show it is charging but soon after the battery was discharging. And because it was connected to the charger, it wouldn't go in deep sleep, thus using even more battery than normal. After trying other USB cables and a generic USB charger, it came down to the charger and (maybe) the battery. Called Moto, explained the situation and they sent me a new charger and battery and everything is back to normal now.

I've been having charging weirdness too. At home I leave my phone plugged in to the charger all the time, my home phone has a blue tooth link so any cell calls get routed to the home phone. Anyway what I notice is when I plug the charger in the red charging light comes on and the screen displays the batter charge level---all as it should.

Then at some point the green fully charged light may cone on, again as it should, but a few hours later there is no charged or charging light at all. If I check I will see the battery is discharging. If I unplug the cable and reconnect it I may get a report that the battery is at 63% or something and it begins charging again. If I don't use the phone for days this process will repeat.

I will say i did not have this issue when on the stock ROM. Not sure where the issue lies.

Try rebooting into Recovery and going to Advanced > Wipe Battery Stats. That may help.

There are many forum threads out there about the faulty USB port on the Triumph itself. Forget the cable/battery/battery stats/etc, it often comes down to a bad port on the phone. I have 2 units with the same problem.

Following the advice of these threads, this week I called VM and patiently followed their "troubleshooting" steps and without hesitation they replaced the Triumph. As I type this I'm loading this *awesome* ROM on the replacement phone that arrived today.

Since this thread is ROM related, I recommend some googling and/or starting a thread about it.

In all reality, it will get lost in the many threads that will be way more active. I'd just as soon let people ask away and they will get answered and lost through the thread anyway. But I do like your sugestion to search around. I'm sure many people ask after two seconds of looking;). I sware I've never done that.

what number did you call? I called said "Trouble shooting" and got only 3 options, calls, email or internet. No options for anything else.

Work the system my friend until you get a person. Then work the system again to get the person to troubleshoot and send you a new one. You're a phone tweaker, you can do it. :) "...Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -yoda

Please, nobody attempt to activate this phone on any non-stock ROM. I recommend that you activate with stock, back up stock, then flash to your desired custom ROM> I attempted to activate my Triumph with a custom GB ROM, and I got nothing but errors during the activation calls. It will just be a massive pain, and if you call tech support, you will do nothing but tick them off. You MUST activate with stock (I'm not sure, but some Froyo ROMs may work). I do not care how you activate (over the phone via calling, online, or whatever) it will not work on most custom ROMs.

This is a known issue, as stated in TickerGuy's CM7 thread: "Note that you cannot provision on the CM7 ROM (the "Activate" apk, if you grab it from the Triumph, will not work - it appears to run, but does not function.) You must be provisioned using the stock ROM before you load this code."

It probably wouldn't hurt for g60madman to also add that to this thread for those who haven't followed the development from TickerGuy's edition to current (which is based on TG's work).

Not sure if I'm going to install the new r0.10 or not; I'm happy with the camera I brought over from whyzors cm7 (and subsequently flashed to r0.08).

Haven't had hardly any issues that warrant wiping and installing the new build ... but still curious to try it out!

I am not 100% Whyzor was building the camera source. I think he was using the Camera.apk from TickerGuy. This is the most updated code from CM7 merged with TickerGuy's focus fixes. The camera seems a little faster than my previous builds in launching. Also there is some newer code updates from CM7 as well that are merged into the mainline.

Just flashed r10... The video is still doing that clicky thing like before. Is that just a known issue or was that supposed to be fixed? Just curious.

KNOWN PROBLEMS:
∙ HDMI does not work (Keep a Froyo backup if need to use it occasionally)
∙ BT or WiFi enabled will prevent deep sleep mode, this is a required hack on custom ROMs (Use built-in Notification bar widget to quickly toggle)
∙ Some videos in portrait mode flickers. (Enable CM settings 180 orientation & flip upside down)
∙ Screen stays dim 3 to 5 seconds when set to auto-brightness and when unlocked

Whyzor disabled auto focus in the video mode to prevent that. I don't think I'll be able to find the post today, but it was a while ago. I bet that's what is going on

Yeah I can disable the auto focus for sure but then there will be no focus at all on the camcorder. I will try and spend some time on this for r0.11 I have been trying out the RC3 source code but it's failing everywhere no matter what I try. For now the focus will be RC1 until CM7 brings the code into the mainline.

Complete new flash, volume bug during music playback still seems to be there.
Great battery life though, and awesome work :)

Yeah what volume bug? If you do a full wipe and reload there is no volume bug. If you did an upgrade it's possible it's still there.
