Root [ROM][ICS][4.0.3][4-7-12][WIP] ics-deck-evo [pre-beta15]

In the same boat. I skipped 4 but 6 is calling out to me. Maybe we will see 7 by the weekend.

I've been using pre-alpha 6 and so far it seems more glitchy to me then 5. I dont know if its just my phone or something. The only thing ive add thats not included with the rom is titanium backup. I havent even touch any of the setting besides adding my wifi and google account.
Here is a list of things I've noticed so far I can think of:

Took three reboots to finnaly setup phone
Freezes sometime when veiwing apps list
Titanium backup starts but 5 secands later just stops and phone returns to home screen
Can't add wallpaper from gallery
Sms wont send sometimes
Contacs wont load up some times
Once contacts load you cant do anything besides scroll up and down.
If yo try to click on one to call or message them it goes to the home screen
Phone wont display numbers some times all that apears is blue line up on top


Well these are the things ive noticed so far that i can think of. If i notice more i will add them to the list.
Oh btw all these things still continue to occur even after several reboots
 
Yeah, same thing here. I kept getting stuck with a blank screen on the Gmail set up.
Even wiped and tried flashing again. I wonder if the Gapps package isn't working with it? I haven't checked for updates.

I'll wait for the next one.
 
I flashed it last night, made a Nandroid of it, and loaded it into a BM slot. Runs much better than it did last week. It is also starting to have it's own feel to it.

Very nice stuff. Something to check out if you haven't already. Can't wait until a daily of this.

Yeah, I'm running alpha 1 currently. Things that don't work are: Camera, WiMax, Calendar Sync.

I love my camera and use wimax often, but I could live without them for a little while, but not having calendar sync sucks really badly :-(
 
Can't wait for this thing to hit beta with working camera. Also, a pure ICS kernel would be nice. That's my wishlist at this time.
 
To see how stable this was I ran it for 18 hours or so. Some things work and others don't.

The only thing that gave me a reboot so far was trying to use Latitudes with Google Maps. And when I first booted it up I had a reboot in the first 10 minutes. Not sure why on that one.

The Gallery now works and I was able to get my Apps on to it and set them up.

Very nice stuff. I plan to load the TN ICS rom tonight and check it out for a little bit.

I ran TN ICS for about 3 hours and i had fc after fc after fc on darn near everything :( fresh d/l of the roms zip and installing it didnt help, did the wipes, also no dice... cam didnt work, got the market to work (kinda, would fc when i tried to search for stuff) and the setup wizard refused to go at all.. Good luck naters lol

That was the current Zip he released yesterday? Huh, I guess that's why he said he was going to wait but decided to post it up anyway.

I'll probably flash it anyway since I'm a sucker for punishment.;)
 
yeah, that was the newest posted zip and the old gapps file combo. I was looking forward to some ICS love too :( :::::::: I think im gonna cry all night now LoL oh well, I guess ill just keep waiting and trying out the new ones as they come like we always do when new bases for roms come out :D
 
Was using alpha 2 yesterday. Every time I tried to buy an app from the Market I got an error. It basically said something like "Error. Please try again later". I could download free apps fine. Anyone else having this problem? I had the same problem in alpha 1. Is there a fix?
 
I had that problem in earlier builds. It will get fixed eventually. Rumor has it toastcfh is working on the camera drivers. Definitely the right guy to have on it.

The camera is what holds me back from making this a daily. I might change my mind about that, though. I miss ICS. I'm using the Ice Cream Sense rom right now but it's not the same.
