Just so I am clear if I am currently running mik3d B1 and decided to flash a mikg 2.5 all I would do is wipe cache/dalvik cache/data/sd ext, then superwipe and flash mikg 2.5. I dont have to flash 2.5 and 2.51 first, right?
correct do the wipes, superwipe, then flash mikg2.5 and you can be done. but if you want or need voice to text then wipe dalvik cache and cache and flash 2.51 then do the same thing for 2.52.Just so I am clear if I am currently running mik3d B1 and decided to flash a mikg 2.5 all I would do is wipe cache/dalvik cache/data/sd ext, then superwipe and flash mikg 2.5. Also if when you flash, the recovery copies the files to your partitions does it keep all the ROMS and kernels you flash??? or is that why you wipe what u do?
what messaging app are you using? try and unistall and re-install it. so apps can move the texts to the card as well.
I had my first random reboot over the weekend. Was taking lots of pictures, using gps, talking a lot. Just extreme heavy useage, I've never used her like that before. I guess she just had enough and shut down.
Runs fine after reboot, never did figure out what caused it.

I had the same issue...I was using Nav, texting and a few other things and it just kind of stroked out. Sense kept rebooting so I shut it down and let it sit for a few minutes and rebooted. All was well.
Randomly I have text alert issues too, but they clear up on their own usually.
I think sometimes the ROM just gets bogged down too much by crap and temp files and you just need to let it rest a bit.
Just flashed Mik3D beta 1 a few days ago. Its smooth and fast, but rarely unresponsive to touch. I like this ROM and I'm sure the next version is gonna be even sweeter.
Is anyone else having these issues?:
- Renaming a folder on home screen takes more effort than normal or my fingers got fatter.
- Can't run wifi tether. It claims I don't have root (same with Titanium BackUp for root users) ...
your first issue i never had any problems with.
your second issue maybe with the superuser app. go into your app drawer and run the superuser app. it should have a list of apps that have been given permission and also those that were denied. just click on those and allow permission and you should be good to go.
While I was very satisfied with MikG 2.51 (didn't flash 2.52 yet) I decided to try Mik3D Beta so I flashed it last night. Maybe it's just me, but it's not running near as fast for me as it is for some of you other folks. I have 203mb of space left after download which is good but I guess I'm left wondering if I need to flash a custom kernel. Also, any ideas when the Mik'ster will update this ROM?
Thanks!
Great questions..no one knows.
I am not sure why everyone loves this ROM so much that they switched from 2.5. In my opinion, it is not stable if you value your phone for texting, mail and calls. As silly as that sounds, a lot of folks here seem to use their phone as a small computer so downtime does not seem to be an issue. I do appreciate the knowledge a lot and still think the Mik3D ROM is excellent, but it does suffer from some bugs that could screw you over at an inopportune time.
Also not sure if a stable version is ever going to be released. I think I will be going back to the 2.5 version as that seems to be the best Mik ROM if you value stability.
He will update this in due time.
aamikam is in school right nowHe will update this in due time.
Anyways, that's why this rom is still in beta form. There will be some bugs but.......it's still a great build, imo![]()
