Root [ROM] Mik3D - RC1- [10/31/2011]

aamikam is in school right now;) He will update this in due time.

Anyways, that's why this rom is still in beta form. There will be some bugs but.......it's still a great build, imo:)

Yes I agree, I just need more stability, but there is no doubting the quality of his work.

The last day or so (since I did a nandroid restore) my gmail has not been syncing right. Basically I will get the email, delete it but it wont actually delete. It will still be on the server (hours later I can see it, unread, if I go to my email from my computer) Also, when I open the program the inbox tab will tell me I have emails (the ones I deleted but didn't actually delete) but I cant get them to show up.

I wiped Dalvick and Cache already and all that did was fix the problem temporarily. Going to do it again and see if that fixes it permanently. If not any suggestions? Should I reflash the Nandroid? Maybe reflash the Rom without wiping cache? Throw my phone against the wall and bust out my old Katana? ;) :p

Thanks in advance :)

Is it just as messed up using the stock mail app?
what about clearing the gmail data in 'managing apps', uninstalling the gmail app, wiping cache and d-cache, and reloading from the market?

Can't remember what I heard you should flash if you just reflash the rom, don't think it would hurt to wipe cache and d-cache though first, since we get told to do that to try to fix about everything. I think it was Data we should leave unwiped.

i heard flashing the rom over itself was supposed to fix some weird issues.
you have a nandroid already, right? you could do it and be our guinea pig! :p

I think it would work if it is a rom problem, not so much if gmail is just hosed, or even if sprint is not playing nicely. They have some weird issues themselves sometimes.

Its been almost a month since the last release, hope to see a new release soon! Can wait to see a final of this ROM!

I usually just lurk in these forums but I just wanted to say I'm very impressed with this (Mik3D B1) ROM. It's the daily driver that I've been looking for. Everything is silky smooth. Now I plan on keeping my EVO a while longer even though I can upgrade now.
Device: HTC EVO 4G (Supersonic)
Kernel: Stock
ROM: Mik3D B1
Recovery: Amon RA 2.3

I have been using this since it was an alpha and love it. I am due for an upgrade next month and think I will hold off myself to see if the rumored Evo 2 is true and coming to sprint. I have had no issues with the Beta including close to CM7 battery life with the stock kernel. Very good job by Aamikam!

Ok, I just encountered another weird issue. So yesterday I was using Titanium and somehow screwed something up so that my phone lost the ability to actually make calls. I restored a nandroid and got everything back working.

Today now I can't send texts at all (get a network error) but for some reason can receive them. (I sent myself one from the Sprint site) then, even if I delete the message I keep getting SMS error messages saying it failed to send. When I make a phone call it connects just fine (well not exactly it takes forever and, once again, it tries to send the sms that does not exist) but it wont hang up! I will hit end call, the phone will act as if it hung up but the call continues. I cant even force close it because it doesnt show up as running because the phone thinks it hung up.

I wiped dalvick and cache and it doesnt seem to have helped. I am going to try and reflash the nandroid again but the last few days this has been getting buggier and buggier :(

edit: The nandroid seems to have fixed it for now...that was friggin odd!

So an aside to my issue mostly in case anyone encounters anything similar...

About an hour ago the issue came back. First the Gmail (which was actually a few hours aago) wouldnt sync so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. That seemed to work. Everything was fine until the sms error once again stopped sending. On a whim I updated the PRL and the profile and now it is running at super speed. Seriously I am shocked at how smooth everything runs.

So, remember folks, not only is it important to wipe the dalvick and cache, but update that prl and profile as well. The little things make all the difference :)

So i wiped my phone and SD card and started from scratch with a rooted phone. I flashed mik 3d and agressive kernal and am having an issue with the internet. I unchecked mobile view as the option on how to display web pages but yet it still shows them on mobile view. I wiped cache and dalvick and it is still doing it. I remember this was an issue before i wiped when i first originally flashed this rom, but it fixed itself. any thoughts???

Edit:still having this problem, any thoughts???

How about going to manage apps and clear out the data and stuff on your internet app? Will prob have to set it all back up again, bookmarks/shortcuts...

Ya I tried that too, funny thing is when I change other settings they stick, only thing that doesn't want to change and stick is the mobilview setting...weird....

well i use dolphin as my browser and never had any issues with it not showing the desktop version.

Well I d/ed dolphin browser and It Is quite better than the browser that comes with phone. but the problem is still there. when I try to toggle between mobile and classic view it gives me an error saying it can't complete process requested for my phone. I'm beginning to think this is an issue with my phone settings and not the browsers I'm using.....I did use the ad free app that comes with the mik 3d rom, IDk....

got my phone flashing right now, but in dolphin, under tools, I think, is some kind of setting to tell internet what platform you are on. seems to me you can tell it something different, to sort of spoof it. i think one of them is to just tell it you are on a pc or desktop, instead of an android phone.

Well i tried that and it worked with the dophin desktop setting, also the app ad free that came with mik 3d seems to have been the problem. I reverted back to the settings i had using that app, and It seems to work now.

Good detective work! :D

Okay I flashed the Mik3D ROM. Like it very much (I like the theme I flashed) but the speed seems to be weak. It runs good but I want it tweaked out!

***I was excited to use the screen shot feature so below is my current settings***

I want people to look at my settings and results and let me know if they are getting better results with something you are using.

Note: I did supercharger V6, 3g booster, and Kernel Tweaker
Also, setcpu is on performance only on the charger, otherwise its ondemand off charger. Does anyone have higher, but stable, than 1190 on MAX speed?

I still use it as my daily. Really pressed for time, so researching and setting up new roms is low on my list. I flash em for a little while, then back to 3D. I'm using my phone heavily now with the new job added in, gotta have stability.
Once the construction season ends, I'll have time to play. :D

Granite, Mik3D is already over a month old, get your flash on:rolleyes: j/k:D

With a 7 month old during the day and a 6 year old, and working nights, I don't have much time either but flashing roms....... keeps me out of trouble:p

Repost....

I had it at 1220 for about 5 minutes before it shut off and bootlooped. It is phone specific I believe but I know my phone cant handle over 1190.

Now the higher speeds on my phone require either performance or ondemand. it has been suggested to try interactiveX but for me anything over 840 or so and it lags terribly. That is of course on freedom, on goldenmonkey anything over 900 caused a bootloop. havent used chopsuey yet.

Best bet is just to nand and try out each kernal for a few days. Let them settle down a bit then mess with them a bit. Every phone is different and reacts different.
