Root [ROM] Mik3D - RC1- [10/31/2011]

Any way to make it when you hit a specific contact on the favorite shortcuts with sense 3.0 on mix 3d ROM it opens up a drop menu to give you the choice to call cell, home, or send a text as widgetzoid allows you to do?? Right now It only allows you set a default action that does either or....thx....

that works fine if you try it in contacts. i havent tried the favorites widget yet...

I don't like live wallpapers but is it me? Or do the stock wallpapers for the Sense 3.0 roms suck.

So I copied my favorite black wallpaper from MikG and now I'm happy:D

usually all of the stock wallpapers arent to good... try using light grid. it works great and you can customize colors and everything

Not seen the app you are describing, but you can go into the specific contact's properties in your address book, scroll to the bottom and select Default Action. There you can pick View Contact. That will give you the options to send mail, message, call mobile, etc. from the contact info.

Is that what you are talking about?

Ya that I saw, but with the app WidgetZoid you can create a similar shortcut to your favorites, like what comes on the stock sense on the screen to the right of the home screen, and instead of dedicating a default action it allows you to choose the option of a drop down menu similar to that in contacts so you can choose between text, cell, home, etc.

i have not seen any mod like that unfortunately. it is usually either or like you said. you can take a look over at the mikmik forums and see. also head on over to xda's theme and app section as well.
cool thx, any feedback to the post above that regarding task manager???

live wallpapers are sort of neat. they would be awesome if they did not suck the battery away like it does. i always use my own wallpaper anyways.

Yep, I hate that live wallpapers suck the battery life but having that stock black wallpaper is all I need.

Thanks:) Found in the market I assume?

Is there a new link for the xda or info page for this rom? The one on the 1st page and the one on the roms and kernel sticky dont work. Did it change when this went from alpha to beta?

Anybody noticing horrible battery life with this new ROM? I barely got 12 hours today with light/moderate usage. Meaning a little web browsing, checking gmail, and maybe 50 texts today. Battery usage stats show display using a huge 64% chunk of that battery. Hell the phone was sitting idle with display off for 80% of the day!

What makes it worse is that I installed that speedo battery indicator posted earlier and I can literally see the battery percentage tick away every few minutes.

Weird thing is that when I first installed the ROM, everything was fine. Same battery life as stock. The past couple of days have been killer. No changes except for installing the speedo battery indicator.

Running Golden Monkey Kernel 1.1 with Supercharger V6 script.

Any ideas???

For some reason after installing the honeycomb battery mod my battery usage has increased a ton. not sure why but removing that mod and all is well.

I had a Mario live walpaper. It was from Super Mario World I think. It crushed the battery, seriously bad. Also it stole a lot of the resources, made the phone a little laggy. It crashed and burned after a hot minute on the evo.

One of my personal favorite Walpapers:

Dumb question. How do you remove the battery mod and revert back to stock battery indicator? I didn't nandroid before installing battery mod. :o

And yes, I wiped cache/dalvik cache before installing battery mod.

Wipe Cache and Dalvik-cache and reflash the rom. As long as you don't wipe data, it will just restore the original files and keep your data.

I posted a stock battery update.zip a while back when my Mario battery mod effed up. I believe it worked ok, never heard one way or the other.

I will when I get home thanks.

Edit: Worked fine except it informed me that I was installing the honeycomb battery mod :)

I didn't edit the Script to say otherwise......if you didn't already have the battery mod, it would have installed it though :)

Glad it worked.
