Root [ROM] [MikRoms] Incredibly Re-Engineered v2.3.2 [02-25-11]

There's definitely something constantly running on your phone. With sense removed on my phone I can go 2 days between charges with my 1800 mAh battery. The best I got was 49 up 9 awake with 12% remaining
 
What apps should i remove in spare parts? I have the 3500 mah extended battery and my battery barley lasts 24 hours...
 
This is a silly question but I know there's a simple answer.

I'd like to try this Rom out on my phone, but I don't see it in Rom Manager.

What's the procedure for installing it? I have CM6 running right now, and plan to do a backup first.
 
Yeah kind of. they have a file that you can flash to turn sense off, but its not really gone. just uses launcher pro. still have all the sense apps, and browser and stuff. I wanted sense completely gone so i am back running CM7 now.
 
Not working for me, I'm sure I'm making a rookie mistake.

I was running CM6. Downgraded to official 2.2 with full system wipe.

Then I rooted using Unrevoked forever.

Then I downloaded the zip file from the link you provided and copied it to the root of the SD card.

Rebooted into recovery and selected "apply update .zip"

It would start the process and then get half way and say "installation aborted"



Any suggestions?

What I highlighted in bold was your mistake. Select "Install zip from SD card" instead and you should be good to go. Also, after doing your wipes, why did you reroot? You were already runnning CM6, so you were already rooted. A factory reset/wipe cache/wipe dalvik cache then flash the ROM would have been all you needed to do
 
I had to return to stock again, because I couldn't boot into ANYTHING after the install aborted. Phone wouldn't reboot. So I applied the update leak in regular Hboot and then went from there. I'll give it a try in a sec and see if it works ok. Thanks for the heads up.
 
Anyone have the zip file of the black and blue dialer for this ROM? chingy needs it because he made a haptic version but it's only in cyan.
 
For some reason, my g/f's DInc went all screwy today. She's getting incessant FCs, most notoriously Swype, but if I try to run any app besides Settings, that app will FC. So I can't fix permissions, and I can't flash busybox. I've tried reinstalling the ROM, but same issues occur. I'm going to have to restore a backup and try to flash this again, but I was wondering if anyone else noticed this prob or has a better solution. This would be the first prob encountered with this ROM.
 
Okay guys, Sorry for the weak question here. But does this have the free wifi hotspot doodad? I am looking for a rom that I can use as a hotspot maker thingie...
 
Very weak, if rooted you can grab wireless tether an your good to go. If not you can use the built in app if u search tether natively. Search is your friend

I did search, and while this is the only thread that I chose to read. But I did it, and here I am. I like it. Love it. I will stick with this one for a while. If it works I am putting on my boy's phone. He is not phone fancy and he read on Pirate4x4.Com - The largest off roading website in the world. that you can root. Pretty awesome.
 
Yeah, I'm glad I don't have that popping up every time it boots... (I'm female) ;)

First thing I had to do was find a new wallpaper. :D

Wonderful ROM, though.

I have been using this rom for a few days. I changed the wallpaper to a picture of my jeep. And when I flashed kernals it put the picture of the chick back onto the desktop. I think the root gods were trying to tell me something.
 
Has anyone else been able to get the titlebar mods to show up in LauncherPro? I can only see the transparent titlebar in Sense or the lockscreen.
