Root [rom] miui4dx 1.8.19[updated 8/23/2011]

Ok, I started this kinda late tonight and I am stuck at the MIUI boot screen, where the planet keeps revolving. For the sake of getting my phone back working and work on this tomorrow can I throw one of my old .340 Froyo nandroid backups on here and then play with it tomorrow?

that should not be a problem if you can get to cwr.

Well, did a factory reset from the factory recovery menu and now got it to boot into miui.

Are there any circle battery meters for the this rom for the notification bar? Just got it installed and got to go to bed...not time to play with it tonight.

Not unless you get a theme with a circle one. There is an option to display the battery percentage inside of the battery or have a small green line on top of the phone that visually shows you how much batt is left(I don't like the second option)

A note about this update. I can see very little changed, I hope next weeks is better or I might switch to OMFGB. No ability to change camera back to widescreen. Lost my news&weather widget :( and Don't know how to get it back.

Testing things out this morning with my new install of miui 1.8.12 and I have no ringtone for incoming calls. When I try to open up and select a ringtone all I get is force close. So, my phone is on silent and can't make it ring at all. Any suggestions?

Wiped everything before install and this is after clean install. Haven't restored anything from anywhere...TIBU...etc.

A bug was introduced into 1.8.12 regarding changing a ringtone. You either have to downgrade to 1.8.5 or use a third party app like Ringdroid to change the ring tone at the moment.

Copy the contents of the zip on to your sdcard miuiruings.zip
then when you apply a tone use the music option instead of theme manager. Now you will have all the MIUI rings and tones.

P3droid just tweeted --If you are running a 2nd init variant, TBH app will have a .13p radio only for you to flash..sorry didn't put in sooner, needed permission

flashed the new radio over MIUI, no problems. But FWIW, for the first time since I flashed MIUI, my phone just rebooted itself, don't know if its a coincidence or not, but thought I'd report.

Ok, so if I copy all these files to the sdcard this will just give me all the miui ringtones through the music option, but not the Settings>Ringtones? Anyone know if that fc with the ringtones is being addressed?

Anyone know if the ringtone FC is the only main bug in 1.8.12 or are there others?
