Root [ROM][MS870] Katana

Hey gt I deleted the original sms app and sliding message won't receive text now. I was wondering if you had a apk you could post. Thank you for the rom again.

Hey guys Im new to this ROM procedure, How to I put the ROM on my SD card and do I have to create a ROM folder on my SD card?

I just got my rebates yesterday. I mailed them about the same time as GT. I just used them to pay my bill. Says debit on the card but the letter says to only use as credit. That's no problem for me. Money is money!!!! Thanks Metro, or should I say TMUS? I noticed my stock sign changed after the T-Mobile merge.

Download ROM place on external SD. No need for folder. Boot into cwm with 2nd init. Wipe data and cache. Goto to advanced options wipe dalvik. Hit the back button. hit the home button to switch from internal to external. Install from zip. Choose file. Install. That's it. :rock:

Use whatever file explorer you have to find the downloaded ROM and move it

I booted it up and was like omg wtf is that.... lol

nice job on reverting it back to black/dark, no clue why OEM's insist on making it white.

I'm having issues with the stock deodex one I'm doing, keyboard keeps fc'ing, and it randomly freezes.

Thanks. Yeah I hate that OEM crap also. The stock keyboard doesn't seem to play nice with compression or at least that's the only explanation I can think of. lol

No more CM?

Hey are you developing any roms for the metro PCs ZTE avid 4g? Tolth is working on one, any chance he could use your advanced knowledge for collaboration on an amazing ROM for this device? It's not getting much developer love sadly... :-(
 
I LOVE this ROM.
What I love:
wifi and other tweaks!
CRT Screen Off Animation (sexy!)
boot animation (sexy!)
Colors and theme in most of the OS, especially messenger
deblotation!
Optional themes!
Nova launcher as default launcher, which I used before anyway.
No meto wifi nonsense!

The things I don't like about this awesome ROM:
Still has silly myMetro and Metro Block-it (not sure how to remove)
I have no use for Google Now
I use another ad blocker(ad away) anyway, since I like to update it every week or so.
Prefer old keyboard
In the notification menu, the borders and styling for quick settings and area around removed, left with just plain icons in blank space.

EDIT: It'd also be nice if it said the day of the week with the date in the notification menu, but the default ROM doesn't have that.
 
Just a purple I did. Don't know if I'll post it though. Not sure if anyone is interested in purple.

lol Would go great with a purple haze wallpaper though. :rolleyes: :p :smokingsomb:
