Root [ROM] MTDEV-CM7 build 2013-03-03

is anyone else getting the volume lowering problem with notifications still or is it just me? I thought it was fixed a few builds ago, but the last two updates I did, it is back to doing it again. Did a full wipe both times.

Yeah, me too. I have been stupid busy lately so I haven't gone over anything. I haven't talked to chairshot or g60 either to see if this is something that has come back or never went away in the first place. I know there have been a bunch of libraries that were switched around. I would think it's in there.

Yeah there have been a few changes that could have made an effect so will look into it as I had not noticed and was not reported with the test build. Speaking of, going to post another test build as it worked out well last time around with about 50 downloads.

Ok, put together 2 builds, one OG MTDEV CM7 and one Starship. Other then the theme and app selection they are the same Rom. Figure I will just post the new Starship at the same time as the next CM7 update.

CM7

Starship

Things to look at,

Overall Speed and responsiveness

Video playback quality

volume decrease after receiving a notification

Hotspot, specificity battery consumption and temperature.

Set the default governor for Ondemand but really just looking for a comparison with the usual Interactive scheduler as far as performance and battery power goes. Can be changed back and forth in performance settings.

Bluetooth again, completely reverted Whyzors fix for running BT and wifi at the same time. Long story but in short found another fix and have put back in place all the permissions previously commented out.

Has anyone else had this problem? I had one occurrence of the screen not turning on after taking the phone out of my pocket. Each time I pressed the power button to try to wake it, the soft key back lighting would flicker for a second or so, then nothing. I pulled that battery to get the phone working again, and haven't had any problems since (yet).

I'm running MTDEV-CM7 build 20121015.

I haven't had this yet on my phone yet, but I had it on my wife's phone once. I think it might be related to an app. Like I said, I had this once on her phone. She hasn't told me that it has happened to her. I do know she has a TON of app on it.

Hey chairshot, in the latest cm7 build, the October 15th one, where you added a bunch of stuff from the ideos and triumph init.RC, you added a line that calls to mount system as rw so now at boot, system is mounted as rw instead of ro. Just thought I'd let you know!

And alot of that stuff can probably be removed for cm7. You may want to go through it and see what all can be removed.

But overall this rom is really smooth for sure. Much better than the previous build!!

Thanks for the heads up; pretty sure I got the R/W line in the test build. Otherwise added in the ideos stuff because it looks like all the old Froyo Proprietary files I wasn

I've been following the development of the Triumph since it came out, and I had the Triumph the day it came out.

I just got a Galaxy Nexus and it's a complete world of difference putting 4.1.1 on it and having EVERYTHING working. It's amazing.

Sad to say I'll be putting my Triumph up on eBay soon.

Thanks to all the Devs who have worked on the Motorola Triumph! Keep up the hard work!

Sadly it's impossible to compete with the Google Phone. This is the power of using a Flag Ship phone which offers complete open source for device, software, and kernel. In the words of Napoleon Dynamite

Yep, exactly why I went straight to the Galaxy Nexus. Thanks for your hard work making a lot of these roms c:

My pleasure, hopefully I can get CM9 working with Camera and will have ourselves a nice phone. Not as nice as the Nexus but not to shab :D

To check your MD5 checksum, it would depend on what OS you are using.
...[snip]...
Under Windows, there are programs that will do it for you. I just don't use them. I normally do it from the phone it self.

Here are two good hash utilities for Windows just for reference for anyone who may read this thread in the future:

SlavaSoft's fsum (command line)
IgorWare's Hasher (GUI)

Just click on the links to get the programs :) Both of these apps are portable and run from the folder you extract them to and create no entries to the Windows registry, which is a huge plus in my book.

I was just wondering if anyone has had an issue with music, notification, and alarm sound under settings menu constantly reseting back to default after leaving menu and going back in? Was also wondering if any is experiencing the custom vibration setting not changing anything (stuck on "2" vibrations)?

Not sure if i'm the only one but everything i changed status bar items like the battery icon or signal bars to numbers I had to reboot to see the change.

logged in as brother...1 sec.. :-)...lol
...sorry bout this...lol

Not sure if i'm the only one but everything i changed status bar items like the battery icon or signal bars to numbers I had to reboot to see the change.

I tried doing that and that seems to work for most of the menu items, but not these two settings ("volume sets" in cyongen settings and "custom vibration" in message settings)in this case. I had rebooted several times yesterday and, it's still the same, I even tried switching profiles. Kinda annoying because i don't want to have to clear data and reinstall the rom and redo all the apps again.

do you think you could add an option for no wallpaper i remember it was in a few cm7 roms but dissapeared in the mt dev

I just finally updated to MTDEV CM7 and one thing I really miss is the ability to long-press (about 3 seconds) on the back button to kill an app. It was so handy I forgot it wasn't a normal part of CM7.

There still is a setting for this. Hit menu button- go into "applications"-go into "development"- check box for "stop app via long press"
