Root [ROM] MTDEV-CM7 build 2013-03-03

I was using CM7 until I got sick of the Wi-Fi issues. So I upgraded to CM9 thinking that it would fix it.

Here's the problem: After screen gets dark for 10-20 minutes, I wake my phone and Wi-Fi doesn't work (icon is white instead of blue).

Here's what I did: I did factory reset, clear data, clear cashe, clear danvisk. Installed new rom and gaps (reboted 4 times over time). Changed Wi-Fi sleep policy to never (checked it several times) and connected to Wi-Fi. After pressing sleep button and waiting 10-20 minutes Wi-Fi stops working.

Exact same problem as CM7.

If you guys could help it would be greatly appreciated.

As you guys see I went to CM9 and got the same problem. Now I'm back on CM7
 
Quick question. i switched to this rom from miui. and now most of my music sounds like
crap. The songs make my speakers pop and they have no bass. Is there any settings i
change to fix this. everything i try to change doesn't seem to work.

I wonder if we need to go through the audio libs.
 
Ok just checked Mediafire and it looks like we have 42 people who have downloaded the last test build. Has anyone come across anything off compared to the 10/15 build?

Have also been curious if there has been any change in thangfish's voice dialler.
 
When I reboot, it disables holo launcher and changes back to the default launcher. My WiFi hangs on obtaining ip address a couple times, then disconnects. Works after I reboot. It's going slow. Especially playing games and holo launcher, which ran fine on the 10/15 build. The only problem I had with the 10/15 build was the WiFi dropping. I'm going to flash CM9 later, then CM7 tomorrow.

It's funny. I had 25 downloads of my tester ROM and no reports back either.

BT voice dialer seems ok now. The only BT related issue is that when connected w/BT and after voice dialer dials, the dialer comes up with BT off, requiring a press of the BT button on the dialer screen to enable. This is fairly consistent.

Wifi issues seem to be solved, no longer requiring a reboot after enabling wifi, for it to work properly. Before it would connect, but not transfer data.

No issue at all concerning simultaneous wifi/BT use.

Volume drop on notification is still there... Usually unplug headset/replug fixes, but not always... Other various work-arounds still apply.

Video seems fine to me.

reoccurring issue with dialer... Seems slow to the point of being locked up sometimes. If fc/wait screen comes up, click wait and it will eventually respond again... Feels like CPU pin, but can't say for sure.

Haven't tried hot spot, sorry.

That's about all I can think of right now.
ROM is very stable, all said. Dialer issue is main problem now for me.
 
My Aria on CM7.1 had only recently begun the 'sleep of death' routine--no idea as to why, but that, along with the GPS lock, are both fixed pretty well with 7.2--thanks!
I have to use Ulysee Speedometer app to see my speed, as my car has no needle!
Sooooo, guess you could say, this helps keep me 'legal'.

Has anyone gotten Google Voice to work with this ROM? I have it set to "Ask every time I make a call" but I never get any prompts. I've tried "Use Google Voice to make all calls" also without any effect.

I'll tell you the truth, I've never used it. Are you using the built-in phone app. It should be linked to that.

If it's a really useful feature for you, I can look into it. Keep in mind I am trying to do other things, though, but this might be a useful break for me. (if you can call it that)
 
I have been tinkering with the auto focus on my cell, I have narrowed it down. using lgcamera, while taking video, the auto setting for auto focus dont work, continuous -video however does and makes a huge difference in quality, however it clicks alot. I know it says this issue in rom info, but I have tested this on other roms and its almost the same issue. Is there possibly a fix for this at all. I also read mixed reviews upon it as well.

Yes, I'm using the built in app.
It's handy but not a big deal. I'm sure others will chime in with apps that do the same. I've used some of them before with moderate success but having one less app to download would be nice.
 
More on the 10.21 test ROM...

I don't use wifi often, but today I had the same problem from 10.15: wifi kept trying, but wouldn't connect, so I rebooted and connected immediately, but camera quit. I notice because I use front camera for face unlock.

Edit: both cameras btw.

Edit 2: after another reboot I have wifi, back camera, but still no front camera

Edit 3: wifi off, reboot, regained front camera... Wifi on, successful connect, retained front camera.

Good luck with that!

I tried to go through the code, many projects to do, to make sure I was on the correct branches. After that, I made sure I had the frameworks on the "fonts" branch. It may be related to that area. I may not have been up to date with other changes when I made the new branch and thus created some instability.

The main point was to see if the font was what nwaves wanted before I merged it into the main code. Thus the test lable.If I push the fonts up, everything should be ok with the next release.


Bump that, you aren't even using my tester:-)

Google voice has worked fine for me. At some point during installation a prompt came up asking me to verify permissions for access. Do you recall doing that?
 
Anyone had issues with the camera like it would stop working and rebooting won't help or after taking a picture with flash and it will turn off?
