Root [ROM][PORT][FINAL] MIUI 1.11.25-Triumph | 113011-2 (GB 2.3.7 based)

No, MIUI comes with all gapps built-in. Flashing gapps will overwrite the gapps modified to work with our build of MIUI and inevitably cause problems, if I remember correctly.

It comes with most, but not all. Google Maps is a good example. Youtube is another.

Obviously, the most important one, the Market, is included.

I'm glad to see issacj87 is getting something for being a ROM Dev. :)

It is simply amazing that What doesn't work has gone from the entire phone to this:
-HDMI out/mirroring

You are the bomb. I hope that when Tickerguy leaves you have some time to keep up CM7... and if not... I understand. Thank you for all you have done.

Just curious...when can we expect to see an update for this rom? Not trying to be pushy and I understand it takes time. I'm just curious, as I said!

I thought he said he was working on one. That's why I asked. Like I said I'm not trying to be a pest, I was just curious.

Same question :)

Isaac's ROM build are like drugs, you get ecstatic when they come out and download them and play with them, and then you just can't get enough. It's not our fault for being addicted, it's the drug's fault for being so damn good!

Agreed 100%!!!! :D

Most drugs are enjoyed more if they aren't supplied at all times right? ;)

Drugs are illegal

Drugs are illegal

Not to mention being a path to stupidity with delusions of the opposite. ;)

Anyway, the question that spawned the analogy was better asked of the developer her or himself via email or PM, etc rather than in a thread.

Not huge, it's just that it has the air of a sort of pushiness no matter how we word the question about updates/new ROMs etc with "I don't mean to seem pushy or rude," etc. Somebody is bound to respond as happened above in the thread. It is pretty much universal: just enjoy what you have from the developers, talk about what you have, list bugs and above all list good points about her or his work, but anticipate the next showing of the devs work silently, is my policy. :D

I didn't see any post's on this issue yet and didn't know if anyone is having the same issue. I have a couple of paid apps that are not coming up in marketplace when I try to find them it says your device bla bla bla. I have read all the info and have come to the only thing that seems to be causing this issue is the new gtalk w/ video. Is there anyway to fix this? I already tried to install the regular gtalk and it would not let me.

Oh wow. With data off (but it was still set to receive MMS), and underclocked 123-369 (I think) I lost 2% in 9 1/2 hours.

Of course I instantly lost 5% turning the data back on. LOL

So underclocking and keeping data off are the key for me. Oh and I kept the screen on the lowest brightness setting. I did turn it on quite a bit to check the time so it wasn't entirely untouched.

Pretty darn good if you ask me. =]

Never thought of underclocking. Do you notice much difference in performance?

Not too much on basic features. I don't underclock it though unless I intend to barely use it. My SMS still worked the same, I even took a call with no lag.

For anything more intensive you'd probably notice a difference though.

How do you get SMS with the data turned off? (I assume Wifi is off too)

MMS needs 3G. I am fairly sure SMS does not need a data connection, it works over the normal call connection. I get SMS with not data on all the time, it is only MMS that I need the 3G data (not wifi!).

Mind = Blown! I always assumed texting needed a data plan. I rarely ever send or receive MMS, so this is good to know.

Agreed; the work timeline on this ROM has been amazing to say the least. Isaacj87, thanks for opening my eyes to MIUI. I have been an exclusive user of CM for over a year, but when I saw all the progress being made, I thought, "OK, we'll see how I like something so close to iOS. I'll probably hate it, but WTH?" Turns out I love it. It's smoother and more responsive than the current CM7 build (no offense to TG; I don't think it's his fault), and I find that I actually do like the layout, now that I've learned how to create/organize folders on the homescreens. Also, the ease and quantity of theme applications is far greater to CM7.

I flashed back to CM7 with the new haptic key fix, but once you release the same fix today for MIUI, I'm definitely going to flash back to it. I am a believer! LOL.

Thanks again for all the hard work; you make our lives so much more enjoyable, and our phones SO much cooler! HA! :)

Settings> System > Mobile Network Settings > Turn off data enabled but leave option below it on (Always receive MMS even when data is disabled).

I don't think Cm7 had this option. Did it?

SMS =/= MMS. I can get SMS all day long without mobile data on, and see that I got an MMS (but I can't download the picture or other content) on any of the ROMS. I know you were originally talking about MMS, but SMS was also discussed. From what I understand VM handles them both quite differently.

And you are correct CM7 does not have that option, at least not that I have found.

My question is: Are you using a third party SMS/MMS program? I had trouble with third party ones.

Also, Do you not receive any at all or just with data off? If its a size issue I'm not sure if there is a setting to modify this.
