Root [ROM][PORT][FINAL] MIUI 1.11.25-Triumph | 113011-2 (GB 2.3.7 based)

thanks @ isaac
I'm noticing that the newest extended control mod doesn't include separate downloads for left/right/center clock options in the nonoverscroll versions -is the choice built into the app/mod now? Also curious if there was a portion of it that needed to be removed (was it .jar?) like the 1014 version I first tried.

I don't really know. I don't keep up with 3rd-party MIUI mods. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments, you should direct them to developer of the mod: [MOD] Extended Settings Menu Options

I can say this though - I looked through the 2 packages. If you use the "overscroll" version without removing the framework.jar file, you'll screw up our port of MIUI. The "no_overscroll" version is fine.

Yes, I am aware of that (read my post). But, like I said, it depends on the items you choose to back up and restore. I've yet to determine which is the offending category that causes boot loops. FWIW, I've done restores (for testing purposes) for all the builds.

EDIT: I should note that if you set a ringtone from the Music app, it seems to be work every time.

@ziggy: why don't you try it and find out?

@melissapugs: Yes, a wipe is recommended coming from that version. There was a major change to MIUI's framework from that build to the current release.

nope newest on forcecloses the launcher... well here i got reflashing miui :(

Looks like the mod developer needs to update it. You don't need to wipe data. Just reflash our MIUI package.

oh i know i dont need to wipe... its just a pain in the butt lol :D is there anything i can do to get the mod to work myself? it shouldnt be too hard

Ok, this is probably the wrong place to ask this and it's a rather dumb question but where in the world can I find the latest builds. I google it and cannot find a page to download the MIUI ports.

I got it to work, but it required decompiling the Launcher apk and coding the smali changes:

strangely mine show 12 hr time now... i didnt flash any more packages to change it either. oh well, can you include an option to choose between 12 hr and 24 hr clocks?

Maybe if Xiaomi gave me the source to MIUI. It be more trouble than it's worth to try and code it in smali. Given how mercurial the code between each build is, it isn't worth my time. I'm surprised my port of MIUI has even been able to make it past the first build (1.9.30).

I won't add any 3rd-party modifications to my builds because of one reason: maintainability. I'll leave 3rd-party mod devs to worry about their own projects.

FWIW, if anybody wants the apk I built (out of my own curiosity), I can post it.

It's got to be a mistake on your end. Maybe you flashed the old 1.9.30 package without realizing it?

Unless the kernel version from that build was

2.6.32.9-perf

Then you might be right lol

Seriously though this doesn't make sense

Pull the build.prop off the phone and look at that. It's what dictates the displayed build version. I just looked at the build.prop from the 110911 release and there are no traces of 1.9.30 in there.

EDIT: Check the version # in the MIUI browser. It'll tell you the true build number.

EDIT: The kernel and ROM exist on 2 separate partitions (/boot and /system, respectively). Theoretically, it would be possible to run that kernel version with an older build. Maybe you flashed the new build and tried to restore your data and you restored /system (from a nandroid of the 1.9.30).

Well the browser states 1.9.30 as well but I just remembered that I flashed my build.prop mod with the thunderbolt ID and that hasn't been updated in a while so I suppose that has to be it... I'm a bit forgetful when I'm lacking gratuitous amounts of sleep. lol thanks Isaac

I'm probably the last person you'd want to ask but...could you please post it?
