Which recovery are you using? Just to clarify, when you say complete reset, did you do a factory reset? I have never seen anything carry over but I have only used cwm 5.0.2.6 or 5.0.2.7, other than trying others out. It has nothing to do with the ROM, cause that info is obviously not in the ROM. It has got to be either your recovery or your phone. I'm gonna say you should try a different recovery. Hope this helps, get back to me and let me know what happens, cause if data is still on the phone it may be messing with the functionality.Edit: once again I did a complete reset, wipe cache, and wiped dalvic cache, yet my current wallpapaer came up along with my home wifi settings....
You need to clarify if the app is force closing, you are getting an error when you try to switch, or you can't find the option. If you hit menu in the camera the option for the FFC is right there. Let me know what is going on so I can help you better. Also I never knew there was a camera portrait mode unless it is in one of the CMs.Everything works fine, but there is no front camera.
I try everything to active my front camera.
Rear camera works fine, but only landscape mode.
Also there is no camera portrait mode.
Thanks, Devs for y'all hard work
Buzzcon, not sure I buy into your theory. Been using VM for 2 years, used Pandora a lot on the road during those two years and only time I've had any issues was with this ROM. I was on CM7 for a while, no issues with streaming. I guess well see what tonight's road trip brings....

I have two major problems with this rom:
1. Although my phone will initially go into deep sleep, after a period of use, it'll stop going into deep sleep. I've verified this using cpu spy. This happens with any wifi sleep policy and even with wifi off. Bluetooth is always off for me.
2. Charging off of USB is painfully slow. Sometimes, it doesn't even charge. Using MUI, I don't have this charging issue. Using non-motorola chargers is even worse using this rom. I haven't tried motorola chargers. From my understanding, android phones have three charging modes set by the rom: USB/brand-AC/non-brand-AC. I remember on the Optimus V, one rom dev changed the charging rates after he realized he set them too low for USB. That's how I found out about the charging modes. I can't seem to find the thread right now, but I'll update when I do.
Combining problems 1 & 2, this rom has become unusable for me. I was charging my phone last night off of my laptop. By 4am the phone was only at 80% full. The computer was accidentally put to sleep, and by 9am when I woke up, the phone was completely dead.

I'm using cwm 5.0.2.6. I do a reset wipe user data, the wipe cache, then wipe dalvic cache -- all three. I even went to the stock and detoxed ROM, the crappy red wall paper came up, then wipe and rest, wipe, wipe again and wallpaper came up as did my wifi settings. very strange.
As to dropouts with the data stream I was off to a rocky start last night, was ready to pull off the road and reboot into another ROM, but things did improve. On the way back, about an hour on the road only 1 or two quick blips, so overall substantially better than in the past. I'm wondering is the lack of total reset is creating a few problems, very weird.
BTW you list "the mitten' as your location, MI by any chance? My usual routes are Flushing to Lansing - Grand Rapids, or down to Clarkston, both routes have good cell coverage.
Update... Checked my phone this am, no bars, no service. Thinking of flashing v7 over the current install to revert to original kernel.
Whenever you start having wacky things happen like what you're experiencing, I always find the best policy is to do a full wipe & then flash either a new copy of the ROM or go back to your last known "good" backup. Without the full wipe, your issues can follow you, no matter what you flash.
Hope that helps!
I'm having a problem using Link2SD with this ROM. It doesn't recognize (or support) my ext4 partition on my SD card. Is there a kernel that can allow support of ext4? If not, what format does my second SD partition need to be in?
Thanks
I know that tcross8361 had a thread that he figured out the problem here. If that doesn't help then try the new kernel I added support for damn near every filesystem and a bunch of other stuff, and I have been running it since I built it, with no issues. Hope this helps. This ROM doesn't seem to be compatible with ext4 or ext3.
What is recommended that I try next? FAT32?

I've been racking my brain to figure this out, the only thing I can think of is aGPS. If you have the gps on, it can knock down the signal and usually it will take a few seconds to reconnect to 3G. I am very interested if anybody else is having this problem. I usually leave the network location on and only toggle gps when I need it. Also the original kernel is in the second post, should be easier than flashing the whole ROM. I still have no idea what can be causing this though. I have traveled down 96, 69, 127, and 23 all on Ver7 and never had an issue, though there were a few spots that there were very weak signals, I have never lost my signal.Yeah, normall I'd do that but I'm on vacation and just need functionality...
