Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

I never download the greenmachine theme. Sorry, Jerry, got enough green in the Army. I long press the home screen, choose wallpaper, I get the choice of es picture viewer, gallery, Cyanogen wallpapers, live wallpaper, none.

Same. Is that background found in cyanogen?
 
The default wallpaper in BACKside is one I originally used with aospCMod. I honestly don't know if it was a part of a standard CM wallpaper pack at the time, or one aospbot added. I like it, and it fits well with my GreenMachineTheme, so I made it default by simply replacing CM's default wallpaper with it. I also added it to the wallpaper selection menu, something not done with other default wallpapers, which I believe is an oversight. ;)
 
I have two apps that always show around 30% of my battery drain each even when I haven't even opened at all. Google Maps and Camera360. I assume this would be a problem with the apps and I should contact the devs but I thought I might see if anyone else is having issues with these programs on Backside.

Edit: I manual control my radios so I don't think GPS is the problem here.
 
If there on the sd card move them to the phone. Keep an eye on them. If they still are messing up delete them and do a fresh install to the phone.
 
so I just went from the 12212011 update to the newest one. originally I would have to reboot my phone in order to connect to 3g when I disabled it. but with the December update I would connect within a couple of seconds. with the newest update I have to reboot again. suggestions as to why I might have that problem or was it the rom update?
 
Question: Is it possible(advisable) to boot into recovery and flash the green machine theme after already having already run BACKside IHO for a while?

Would I need to reflash the whole rom(deleting cache and reformatting) to attain Green Machine theme?

I recently did everything to get my phone rooted, have cm7, and even have green machine theme.

I've seen this wallpaper before (fairly sure it's a live one)...and I don't have it.

Is there something I possibly did wrong? Is there somewhere I can specifically download this wallpaper?

Any help = appreciated much :D

There are no stupid questions in here. :) If you look on the previous page about half way down you will see several posts about this. Here's one quote:

Live wallpapers were removed you can find them in the op or the gethub which also should be in the op.

Yes, you can flash any theme you would like. Check this thread.
It has different BACKside themes and steps for installing them. Make sure you are using a theme that was made for the build you are using.
 
Can someone post steps to get the Voice Dialer button working. I don't see the option in Button Remapper to set it to the voice dialer function.

Also, noticed in the OP, "This is a WIP (work in progress), USB mass storage is not working, but a fix is in the mix!" Don't want to scare anyone off.
 
Voice dialer is nerfed on all CM7 builds for the OV'S. I believe it's an issue of not having the source code for the driver from LG.

I'm also interested in that exact wallpaper. I don't like the one from the market as much and can't find any link in the OP to that wallpaper. Maybe Jerry can make a flashable zip for us to get that wallpaper :)

LiveWallpapers.zip

-download to sdcard
-reboot into recovery
-turn off signature verification (I didn't sign the zip file ;))
-flash LiveWallpapers.zip
-reboot
-long press home screen
-select Live Wallpapers
-select Nexus
-set and enjoy

Alternative method (no need for recovery), extract LiveWallpapers.apk from the zip file, copy to /system/app with root file manager or adb, set permissions to rw-r-r, set the wallpaper. (may require a reboot before setting)

As brotherswing said, no go on setting the button to Voice Dialer atm. You can remap it to other functions, sorry if that was confusing. Thanks to work on some other LG models, we are making progress on some hardware functions. Charge-while-powered-off, 1st bootanimation, wired headset audio input options, all look promising. Please no requests for eta on any of them, no promises without LG proprietary binary source.

I didn't realize I had never removed the warning about USB mass storage, it works fine. Thanks for the heads up, I edited the OP, also changed the home screen image to reflect BACKside's default wallpaper. ;)

Needed a way to lock the desktop and have been using launcher pro and found out adw does it so I gave it a run and am now moving to adw. Gonna be one less thing to setup and the icon packs are nice too.

Hmm what do you mean by lock the desktop? I might be interested in that. I have ADW.

Jerry, would you happen to have the stock wallpapers that came with the phone? Haven't been able to locate those online.

Attached is the LiveWallpaper.apk from the stock system file. Been so long since I saw stock (other than the few minutes it took me to put BACKside on a xmas gift I bought someone ;)), I don't remember what wallpapers are included on the stock OV.
