Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

Sounds like a bad flash. Did you verify the md5 checksum?

Yep, the download was fine. Might have something to do with the alarm since I woke up this morning without an alarm and the phone worked fine. I'll keep an eye out to see if I notice anything particular cause the issue. It only happened those first two mornings after snoozing and then cancelling the alarm. I'm not too worried about it. It's not that big of a deal to restart the phone in the morning, plus the new build is running great otherwise.

One little problem that I've ran into with the last 2 builds.
every once in a while, there will be an app, or an update that I would like to install from the market, and mind you, that these apps/updates require next to nothing to run, and when I view the app info in the market, it will say "this device isn't compatible with the app, can't install." Or something like that. So I figured that if I'm able to restore back to stock, and install the app, it must be something wrong with the rom. So I restore back to stock (after backing up of course) and install the app, and make a back up of the app via titanium back up, and restore back to BACKside, and install the update/app via titanium backup, and the app works flawlessly as it should. So I assume there is something wrong with the device check communication between the market and BACKside. 1 very common app that this error occurred on is Facebook, which is available to all devices running any android stock, and most custom roms. And my work around takes too long to perform, possible to look into, jerry?

Hey guys I'm currently using green machine theme and was wondering if their is a way to change the color of the context menu ex: hold power and the option menu is green, would like to change that
ill check back in about 12 hrs so don't expect me to reply right away

The facebook app LOOKS better in the recent updates and looks like the iOS version but it's functionality is extremely poor.

If you and Atmazz hadn't made those posts I would never notice unless I constantly checked BACKside updater. I know I'm addicted to flashing but even I won't do that... yet
Yeah, I'm looking into adding an option for push notifications, so long as I can do it without wasting battery. ;)

This was my very first update through the update function.

I guess I was under the assumption that the updater downloaded the green machine theme as well, and I was wrong.

Is there any way to add that function Jerry?

It's nice to be able to update my apps finally but my available internal space has diminished from 100 mb to 23 mb

Yes, but what's the point of having 100mb of unusable space? ;)

What used to happen is the 01mvdalvik script would move the dalvik cache to the same partition your market downloads would go to. This made it appear you had lots of extra space since dalvik cache was moved, but the Market would check the download folder for space, and since dalvik was in that partition, the Market wouldn't allow you to download/update and gave an insufficient space error.

Now with 01mvdalvik functionality removed, the dalvik-cache files stay in their normal directory, which is your internal space is taken up. You can use TB's integrate dalvik to system function to fix this, just be sure to undo it before you install another ROM or you'll have to reflash gapps. ;)

You can also use any of the *2sd scripts, but I do not support them, too many issues with so many different versions.

Very true. So really I didn't have that space? Or is it a market issue? Also what does the compcache setting do?

Link2sd link2sd link2sd link2sd link2sd. There's a script app that I prefer that opens up space, I use the space for cache since I prefer full sites over mobile also on wifi, but I can't remember the name... ;)
