Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

I've had the screen lock about 10 times over the course of today. But hey, a battery pull fixes it right up..price we sometimes pay for being on the bleeding edge. Besides, its always more fun when you have a glitch every now and again..makes it more exciting.:D

Did you set it to Set On Reboot? If not, and you rebooted, you'll be back to 600.

806 is a huge overclock, so you definitely should see things run smoother and somewhat faster, and if you run any benchmarks, you will definitely get better results!
 
For those with screen freezes which we believe are due to the new rotation animations, please try this:

Settings>>Display>>Animations>>No animations

Let me know if this prevents the freezes, that way we can pretty much be sure it's the rotation animation causing the issue. ;)

Or you could just turn off auto rotate. I don't rotate the screen and I haven't had any issues.

That's why I thought it was just a random freeze the one time it happened to me. I do keep rotations on, but turn them off in the launcher, and I use my phone in portrait mode for most things.
 
I have everything enabled, and have only had the lockup once. If it were the animations, wouldn't it have shown up in the last couple of builds?
 
turned off the animations and still got the lockscreen freeze. Is it safe to go back to a previous rom?

I'm having a problem with the latest build. I'm using the screen unlock with the number code. Sometimes when I turn on the screen there is nothing there but my wallpaper and the only way to get it to stop is to restart my phone. The options for reboot, etc pop up proper when I push the power button. Any ideas as to what could cause this?
 
Ahh yea its me again.

I updated to the newest rom and I don't like the boot animation at all...

So I deleted them from /system/media and it still shows up when I turn on my phone.

Like no offense but the boot animations are pretty bad.

Also ADW Launcher like to make itself the default launcher everytime I launch my phone..

Don't know why..

i always install launcherpro then uninstall ADW

Problem is I can't uninstall ADW!!!

And I am talking about the Start up animation. The one with the Human IO and BACKside Rom shit.

I can not remove it... thats the only thing I hate about this rom now is that animation.. its not needed...
 
You can use Titanium Backup or Uninstaller Pro to remove ADW. How big of an issue is that first splash screen? Jerry has already told us, it's packed with the kernel. Read back a few pages, you'll see it. I'd like to change it, but I only see it every once in awhile, so it's easy to ignore. Vulgarity isn't called for.
 
As he said its part of the main system so there is no way to access or change it unless you know how to make a kernel which is extremely dangerous to make any changes. And this is an all age forum please refrain from the language.

Don't let people like this get you down.

You have a great ROM here, and at times a bug may get introduced into the build, which you work to correct on your own time. This is something you do not have to do for the community, which many forget about.
Keep up the great work!


Now some info on the 2/6 build;
tried this: Settings>>Display>>Animations>>No animations
Phone still froze. Went back to the 1/25 build.
 
My friend's wife just got an OV. I've been asked to root and rom it for her, so my plan is to put 0131 on it, for now. It's her first smartphone, and I don't think she's ready to take on potential bugs.
