Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

I have been charging my phone and noticing it stops charging at 95%, which I think is really weird. I have to unplug-replug back in the charger and then it goes to 100%. I have tried diffrent outlets/chargers. Is it just more of that battery weirdness that andieopie said goes away after using the rom and rebooting after a while?

Just making sure nothings wrong with the battery counter or anything.

Try booting into recovery and wiping battery stats. ;)

Thank you. I did. Hopefully this works. I love your new green recovery btw. A lot easier to understand.

By the way, I also answered the questions you asked on this thread.

New build of BACKside-IHO us up!

For the best results download and install CWM-Green-Recovery, a new recovery I built for just this purpose!
Updated to the latest build earlier today, and running smooth as silk like usual. Great work Jerry!:D

And man, that CWM-Green-Recovery is just cool as all get out. I'm finding myself wanting to stay in recovery just to fool around with that! :):)

I'm actually a fan of the green myself brotherswing. Like Jerry, reminds me of the old terminal days. Ah, nostalgia.:D

Edit: BTW, looks like your website is coming along nicely brotherswing. Was going to register on your forum, but get this when trying....ah, the fun of working bugs out!

HTTP ERROR: 504

Gateway TimeoutRequestURI=http://houseoftreats.heliohost.org/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=general

Edit 2: just a hiccup I guess, it's resolving fine now.

Edit 3: allowed registration fine, but when posting a thread get the same message as above with the exception of the ending tag being /YaBB.pl?board=test;action=post2

I'll bug you later. :ciao:

It wasn't linked I'll see what happens on the new build. I hate posting when I'm tired it took me forever to find where I posted this. Lol

After reboot and theme reverted back to ROM, what these two files show?

/data/property/persist.sys.themeId
/data/property/persist.sys.themePackageName

its checked and it still doesnt show up.... and another random thing i saw is that for my baseband it says unknown

Baseband has always said Unknown, but I will be fixing that.

To reboot to recovery via the power menu, long press the power button till the menu appears, then choose reboot, then you are given the option to reboot or reboot recovery. ;)

Hasn't done it yet but I didn't do the framework res because I didn't see what it changed. If it does again I'll check those files.

All of the recent updates for the past few months have given me the same problem. Here's what's going on:

  1. I format Dalvik and cache partition
  2. I install new ROM update
  3. I get mount error from link2sd (this is normal). It asks me to quick reboot.
  4. I quick reboot, but then it never boots past the boot animation.
To get my phone to boot properly I have to revert back to the 03062012 update. Anyone know why it hangs?

quick reboot never works [for me]
recreate mount scripts almost always works [for me]

The Recovery command appears after you select Reboot in the power menu.
1- long-press power button
2- Select Reboot
3- Select Recovery :hmmmm:

Note- I removed the bootloader option from that menu months ago, but the recovery option has always been there. :bike:

Note2- Just had to try out some of these smilies! :ciao:

Whenever you do a rom update, and see link 2 sd not working. Don't panic, your apps are still there. Only the apps that were moved as a system app will be gone.

(If you even chose to do that. For example I had go launcher moved as a system app instead of being linked as its a launcher. I also wanted the system to accept it as part of the system, mainly because I saw a performance increase compared to just leaving it on there as a standard app.)

I have always done the following:
open link 2 sd. Disable auto link for new installed apps, disable the link at boot option. Restart the rom several times. After 3 or 4 restarts of the rom, open link 2 sd back up. Recheck all your settings. Then restart again. If you are still getting mount errors or any other error, recreate mount scripts. If you get an error, try going through choosing different file systems
(ext, fat32) until you get the message that link 2 sd will create the mount script at boot and prompt you to restart. After doing the recreate mount scripts, do a quick reboot. It might take a very very long time. It took mine 10 minutes before It booted up. After it boots, let it sit some more at the home screen. Restart the entire phone again at least a couple more times. You should now be fine.

That's the entire process I did to make everything work again after the rom update.
I would also suggest after everything is working properly, to go into link 2 sd and clean up the 2nd partition as well as dalvic cache, clear all app caches, and last but not least link dalvik cache files. Then choose the refresh option and reboot. Should also gain some more space that way.
