Root [ROM][WIP]CM10.0.0.l0-BobZ

hey! no fair lol... i want touch recovery :(

it's simple just extract the recovery.tar from the spirit touch recovery then place in /system/xbin and fix permissions. but it's too big for the screen and you cant see the whole thing making it a little difficult to navigate. too bad you cant rotate 90 degrees in recovery that would make it usable.

Yea, you're on 4G, our CM10 4G only has half the speed of stock right now.

using version c modem from beta 4 or aokp alpha rom gives you full stock speed. or at least much faster.
just flash one of those roms then flash this rom over it. but if you do a kdz flash later, it overwrites it.

Flashed pg517 over stock d. 1080p recording isn't purple but Zooming while recording crashes app. Volume buttons have no affect on calls neither does sliding volume with touch.

Okay so I'm not crazy, but the system seems to be reading the sd card (internal and external) through the "storage" file found in the root of the phone. In "storage" resides "sd card 0" and "sd card 1" files. Those are your internal and external sd card directories respectively. Here's where I'm having a problem: The "sd card 0" file (internal sd) is not writable! At least it's not working out for me. I'm rooted (duh), and I'm using root explorer and yes I have it mounted as rw. I tried to maybe change the permissions to no avail; it would not let me. I don't get it! I think this is my only hope of getting my old data onto cm, but I'm stuck at an impass. Any suggestions?

Any word on this? Anyone else experiencing this? I don't understand why it's not allowing me to write to the internal sd while being rooted. This has never happened to me before.

Ok I had the same problem, turned out to be my 32gig sd card. Works perfect in my esteem and GSIII but in my motion anything I put on it from the phone would be corrupted and sometimes it would show the external sd was empty in es explorer but I could still access the data from other apps. I put a 4gig sd in and everything works perfect now.:eek:;)
Hope that helps.

I'm just gonna format and reinstall my build environment. I was getting too many system errors from all the crap I installed etc.. this time I'm gonna leave it as is and only use it for builds.

Has anyone besides me used the hotspots features besides me? USB tether doesn't work but use hot spot do a speed test while on a PC or laptop it isn't half its full.

Okay new update for 5/17 build

It was good and gravy but turned for the worst last night when bluettoth is on my phone and contacts crash and restart my phone
When I restarted my phones vibrate was stuck on until I shut it down

NM GPS will lock on but never find GPS to tell me where to go. Music bugged phone out again so I had to pull battery and flashed back to my back up.

I guess I'm not the only one having music issues. Like a lot of people here, Apollo lags the phone really badly and I have to hold the power button until it reboots. After a reboot, a song will play for about a second, and the audio seems to just crash.

Oddly enough, Apollo worked fine in TheDemon's modified build.

Hey, any help ? I tried to unroot/ go back to stock form bobz's, but now I'm stuck in a boot loop. I even tried the whole vol - and power button factory reset business and no dice. I can get into emergency mode, but how do I get outta bootloop?

Quick question, is the 5/17 rom with the C modem flashed over firmware D any better than 4/28 with the modified build.prop and echo fix?

When you did the volume and power combination, did you see an android logo with a blue orb? If not, hold down volume down. Now hold down the power button. When the phone vibrates, let go of the power button (but not the volume button) and press home, back, home, back, etc until the android comes up.

Any advice? I tried to go back to stock/ unbrick unroot from pg's 517 build and I'm stuck in a bootloop. I even tried the whole vol- and power factory reset, still nothing. I can get into emergency mode, but can't shake this bootloop.
EDIT: sorry fot the doublr post, didn't see my original one come up if there was a way to delete posts I'd delete this one here right now.
PS: gonna try that vol down method now
EDIT #2: No luck, stil stuck on bootloop. What's goin on here?
