Root [ROM][WIP]CM10.0.0.l0-BobZ

Hey, any help ? I tried to unroot/ go back to stock form bobz's, but now I'm stuck in a boot loop. I even tried the whole vol - and power button factory reset business and no dice. I can get into emergency mode, but how do I get outta bootloop?

Why wouldn't you have just kdz flash or flash stock ROM?
confused as to why you would unroot and not just flash stock rom or do a kdz flash

Could you guys tell me if it would be worth for me to go to the 5/17 build or to stay on the 4/28 build? And if it's better. What are the differences?

Didn't know you could flash the kdz... also didn't have a flash of a stock rom. I thought old faithful unroot/unbrick method wouldn't be a problem.

regardless of whether your using cm recovery or lg software it's still "flashing"
so you used the unbrick method and "flashed" a kdz. and your in a bootloop. now hold volume down and power untill the screen pops up asking if your sure you want to do a factory reset then you hit power twice.

If i remember correctly, if you're on cyanogenmod, and kdz flash, you gotta factory reset to get it to boot

Okay, but how do you factory reset when you phone won't even boot? Maybe there's something I coud've done to prevent this, but it's too late for that now. i just need to learn how to get to something where I can flash something. I'm not even sure if my phone has an operating sytem installed since it's just on constant bootloop even after some trial and error.

it wouldn't boot loop if it didn't have an os. it would just goto lg icon and freeze there.

Okay, I guess it's got an os then. It goes past the lg screen, through the metro pcs animation then just goes over and over again through the metro animation. I've never had aproblem with the unbrick method before.

fact reset, if that doesnt fix it, rerun the unbrick. ;)

pull the battery out wait a few seconds then replace and hold power and volume down till the factory reset screen pops up. if that don't work then your "SCREWED"
you been drinking? lol this is basics

I don't think you should be having these problems here and now either, the unbrick method has always worked perfectly, I think maybe you might not have followed a step correctly or something, in which case, please do read over again the things that people are telling you to do and do it step, by step. And then it should work just fine, sounds like a simple bootloop to me :p

This worked!: Powering up with vol- and power, then alternately tapping home and back buttons. I think I tried this method already, but didn't work for me the first go-round. This time it worked! Thanks for the help.

I did the unbrick method with the lg software twice, and tried all the documented methods to get outta the bootloop. I actually even tried the method that I just tried and worked, but maybe I wasn't tapping the home and back buttons fast enough the first time I tried it. Who knows! You guys are always a huge help either way. I was starting to get worried, but then I remember reading somewhere in these forums that said that if yo can get into emergency mode, then you can get outta brick, so I had hope. I think I might have panic'd abit since jb is still very new to this device. Thanks for understanding mah nizzo's. So glad I'm not "SCREWED".

For future reference, you can wipe data by runnning "adb reboot recovery" even in a bootloop. It might be easier than the volume down method.:D

If he was barely able to follow those simple directions, I doubt he will know how to use adb shell with the simple explanations :p
Just keep doing this whenever this happens again, and follow the directions more correctly next time!

I find bouncing the phone(s) off the wall once in awhile is a great stress reliever. :D

I had a Motorola i930 that has seen many walls in its time. Never a stress reliever cuz it always booted up afterwards... I don't think Huawei's worst phone could be as bad as those things. Biggest POS on earth but tough as nails hahaha... I still have it, neck hanging on by only a ribbon cable and it still works

I ended up doing this once with my lg optimus m once but off the floor. Never ever had stress again

yea my esteem has a nice lil gash in it and the button lights no longer work on it. lol
