Root [ROM][WIP] CyanogenMod 7 | Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) | Current Version: 09122011

Hey I found a bug when I go to spare parts to change font size for the settings menu it goes back to default. After awhile. Not a big bug but kinda annoying btw I'm running kmod OC'd @691

Seems the same on K and PGs I like a bigger font but it always goes back...hmmm

I installed Kmod this morning, and tried the font changer but it did not like the version of busybox that it downloaded for me. I am going to try Pg's version as I do not like the font for the kmod and just want to try it anyway. That way I have tried 2 out of the 3 versions out there.

I will do so and see how it goes. Thanks for your reply. But before I do that..

Q:Can I image my whole Phone w/ ROM Manager and revert back to the 2.1 ROM that I have now in case something goes wrong? and Do I need a premium copy of Rom Manager in order to do that, if in fact it is possible?

Thanks :)

Best guides around, just pick which one you want to install and follow the directions.

My latest build is available via rom manager now too.

Try the app 'CUSTOM ANDROID FONT SWITCHER' by BENTOTBOX in the ANDROID MARKET.

Working on KMOD,gonna load PLAYFUL GOD'S build now, then take a look @ BOB ZHOME'S build to see if this app works on all 3 CM7 ROMS.
Gonna use all 3 ROMS,they all ROCK in their own unique way.
Well,it's been almost a full day since I've changed up ROMS,time to switch..........

yea just do a full backup with rom manager or in CWM.

PG, what version of gapps am I supposed to use with your build? I couldn't connect to make calls get texts or get to the market or anything. Is it worth another try or does that ROM just not work on my phone?

you can use the latest or 03072011, both will work.;)

I just got done installing CM7 and during the setup wizard I left the check mark in the box for the backup and restore from Google what a huge mistake that was because Google had a rather large backup of programs that I no longer wanted or used. will I finished setup and the market started up and proceeded to attempt a download of 36 different programs will my phone became a paper weight until I redid the CM7 update and made sure this time to unchecked that option during setup.

PS thank you PlayfulGod for fixing your version of CM7 so far I really like it.

I noticed that there's evidently a cm7.1 update now. Will this be coming to Ascend? And what exactly is Kmod? Am I just behind the times? Lol.
yes CM7.1RC1 and yes my next build will have it (working on it now). BobZhome's current build is at RC1.

Kmod is a cooked CM7-Ascend with custom frameworks and a few apps added/swaped out. No fixes as claimed etc (details on the Kmod thread).

Sweet. I noticed you had a cm7.1 on the premium-user download list from ROM Manager so I was curious. Of course, I don't have the Premium version. But if you say it isn't done, I'll wait. Lol. Thanks for all the hard work man. I may also check out kmod and see what it's all about.

you will have to google or ask around to get a link to it now, dude pi$$ed pip off last night lol.

Yea CM7-Ascend has been 7.1 (2.3.4) for awhile now, but the RC's are nightlies n not stable releases ;)

Oh and on rom manager, only the weekends are premium, during the week its avail thru the free version.

Wrong thread but..

If you are installing the official Metro 2.2.2 update u need to follow their instruction on there site. I dont believe it will install via Rom manager or CWM.

I like PG's new update, the boot animation actually scared the crap out of me when it was loading. Took a bit for things to settle in, but runs great...
