Root [ROM][WIP] CyanogenMod 7 | Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) | Current Version: 09122011

In wifi settings. It asks for user agent, android, Linux,, Mac,etc. Or am I messing with too much? Just trying to stop wifi freezing and rebooting. I'm a noob 4sure
 
Hey guys in running Cm7 on huwaei ascend and it randomly will start making a noise its says when i turn it up and down on the volume rocker it says in-call volume and i have to call somebody and hang up JUST TO FIX IT LIKE WTK?!!!! PLZ OF DEAR GOD TELL ME HOW TO STOP THE STUPID THING!!!! FROM MAKING THE NOISE ( before i went to cm7 i was 2.2.1 AKA Tapout edition:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::D:confused::confused::confused::confused:)
 
I'm having issues with the new GAPPS downloading things from the market. They say they will download, start to download, then stop and disappear. Some apps can be downloaded, some can't. Tried using Appbrain to send them to my phone, doesn't work with the specific apps either. If I flash a previous version of the Market/Gapps, with that corrupt something? I'd rather not flash the ROM all over again. - Thanks

new gapps work, but you can flash 03072011...

strang...never had that problem on cm6/7 might be the phone itself, but you can reflash it and see, also flash back to 2.1 and see if the problem continue, if it does than its a device defect.

yes it is the phone its a known issue with the ascend or it might just be cricket as most of the forums i have seen reporting the same issue have been on cricket...its only a temporary problem that is easy to fix but for now no one has come up with permanent solution...mine started doing it when the phone was stock and same with my wifes...hers has done it 3 times since she bought the phone and mine twice with and without a custom rom
 
I've been running build 0521 since its birth, I flashed to 0624 and now I'm stuck in a boot loop, tried reflashing to 0521 and 0624, several times, still stuck in boot loop. Please HELP!!! Thank you
 
Oh, by the way, I love CM7, thank you to everyone involved with its builds. And I did also try calling the phone to knock it out of boot loop, did not work :-(

cm7.1 is already on the rom...has been since 2.3.4 has been implemented...the 7.1 RC will be released when PG has it stable and bug free...

by the sounds of things since you have previously used 0521...it sounds like your missing a step in the flashing process...maybe go back over the instructions and see if you missed something...just in case
 
I had to wipe all data from my phone to stop boot loop, worked fine, but now nothing will show on my sd card, I did not wipe data with sd card inserted, I was going to partition my sd card, but I'm using an 8gb card and there is no option for that and even smaller when it asks for transfer size. I have had great luck with flashing these roms and love them, but I'm real confused about how to partition my sd card, I've never had to, Please help, Thanks again. I love this site.
 
So the new Playful Version of Cm7 says that A2SD is already in the rom. Does this mean I have to use DT's A2SD? My Sd card is partitioned right now for CM6. Say I flashed over to cm7, would The apps already installed work in cm7? Also, say I dont want to use a partition and reformat my sd card, will the rom work correctly, seeing that it has DT's a2sd already installed in it?> Thanks
 
I went from cm6 to cm7, all apps on my sd were fine, never partitioned, until now, I had to wipe all data on phone only, now the phone shows no apps on my sd card, but on a card reader still shows on card :-(
 
Alright, I factory reset and reformat my sd card, starting from scratch again, wish me luck, lol. You forget how good CM7 really is until you go back to factory, wow
