its the class 2 card that you have but you can move the dalvik to phone to run a bit smoother and your apps will still run from sdcard, just open TE and type su and hit enter, next type a2sd nochache, you phone will than do some crazy stuff, and it will reboot, and you are all done.

I downloaded an app called SD boost and set the cache to 1024 and my phone seems to be a bit less laggy, but it still Sucks!!
Oh well, I will just have to sacrifice space for smooth operation... Better yet, I just need a better SD card.

if your ascend can boot pg latest than you can Oc it to 710 or 748 if your lucky...but EVO 3D now...

to get 748 will have to flash the kernel update for it

And I made a lazy kernel update from bobs boot.img and it works on my ascend. It has the orange bootsplash tho and not my blue android one.

I got 0728 to work for me just fine, and I haven't seen lower scores than mine in the Antutu thread. But normal builds are hit and miss for me, sometimes it seems I have to hit the power button at the right time to get them to go. There was a build or two I dreaded rebooting because the chance of bootlock was so high.
When I get home in a bit I'll try out the lazy build.

If my ascend was any more lazy it would be collecting an unemployment check.... I'll for sure have to try this one out... LOL Thanks again guys. I'll post the results some time later when i get a chance to break my phone again

You can test out other (higher) settings w/o hurting anything.Just go back to what works if the different sdboost setting don't work for you.

I just tried a couple more times, and it still locks my phone up tight. I've never had something mess up my phone on such a base level. It messes up the instant I drop my battery in. God bless CWM and the restore ROM option.
However, the 0728 7.2 build works awesome on this phone. Still can't have more than a widget or two on my homescreen, but I've gotten used to that.

Ya your right Scur...I just tried to download the kernel for lazy ascends that PG just made and i can't get to it either...think the links broken....But i don't want to try to use Rom Manager either right now due to it locking your phone up...trust me i know how that goes...if i lock mine up ill probably just flash the stock 2.1 and just re-install BobZ cm7....But I was kinda looking forward to the 0728 build. Btw anyone have any problems with lost or dropped calls with using this version? I've noticed at times i can't get a signal and it drops my call almost instantly...I've updated the roaming list through *228...Just wondering if maybe its mine since it wasn't a problem before

My ASCEND has PHONE HERPES!
No matter which version of CM7 I put on it,the Settings>About Phone section & ROM MANAGER says I'm running CM7 05142011.
Embarrassing, just like regular HERPES,but harmless.............

you should try reloading CWM again, i had problems with mine & after reloading CWM it went through no problem. which Rom are you on?

Same as if I installed from ROM Manager. Locks up my phone hard, and the only way I can do anything is to hold the recovery buttons while I drop my battery in.

I'm using CWM Recovery 3.0.0.5,running CM7.2 07282011.
It's running sweet,no problems,It just says I'm running the 05142011 version,which I know that I'm not.
I have features on this build that weren't even available on 05142011.
I think its a ROM MANAGER/Clockworkmod or CYANOGENMOD.COM error on thier end somewhere.No biggie,just weird.

Settings > CyanogenMod settings > Interface > Status bar tweaks > Alternate signal display

When I toggle the display to show the dBm number instead of bars, it's always at 85 no matter what. Is this just me, or the build?

When first flashed,the current ROM does show in ROM MANAGER & SETTINGS>ABOUT PHONE.

To troubleshoot this,I didn't restore TIBU or load up GAPPS & left it pure CM7.
An hour or two later,CM7 05142011 is displayed in both ROM MANAGER & SETTINGS>ABOUT PHONE.
Definitely weird,but,harmless.
BTW,I do a total wipe,less SDcard,just to rule out anything else weird.
