Have you try converting the windows driver using NDIS? I remember doing something like this when I installed Linux on a acer laptop I had with a oddball broadcom chipset.

That's different. I been looking high and low for it, but still cannot find it. Tethering is a cool feature, but I'm not about to break WIFI on a quest for tethering.

There is an app on the market called Text free https://market.android.com/details?id=com.pinger.textfree&feature=search_result

It alowes you to send text messages and Picture messages over the internet. it dose give you another # to when u sign up

If you get this and are able to send MMS over please let me know im without service right now

I just tried the MMS it Works but it sends it threw an E-mail Address Like mine is Draven05@textfree.us

Sorry just thought i would try to help some people with CM6 or CM7 with MMS

Are you a dev??? lol

I think the main issue is the carrier info is needed for mms n its diff from what you see posted in the icarus mms fix threads.

Pip and isaac would be the ones to ask about details on that.
 
i tried the setting from icarus in the updated go sms pro and it was a no go, so there might be something you have to config in the build.prop IDK....

Yea I tried that last week too lol, but go sms didnt have all the fields that are in the iscarus settings

yeah for some odd reason it only has 3 things you can set...but even in the rom there's no option to set new apn, dunno if thats another reason or not, but i can live without it....:D
 
Also I have noticed long text msgs wont go thru unless the split option is enabled. Anyone else noticed that and is it a metro thing or what? I raised the char limit but it didnt help lol
 
thats metro and there limits on sms, also the phone, cause with my windows phone i could type longer messages without mms.
 
Quick question, what exactly is needed for mms. Like, what do you mean when you say 'carrier info'? And how would you go about getting it? I'm not a dev or anything, just curious :)

I've asked that numerous times lol. If you read the ICARUS MMS fix thread/post you'll see what the info is. But in 2.2 its not an option in settings, so I guess its hard coded in some module pip and isaac hasnt gotten their hands on yet, thats a guess, I was told theres more to it lol.
 
I've been searching around the internet for a quick and easy fix. I got an app called APN backup and restore. When you backup, the file is stored as a .xml on the SD card. Would it be possible to edit these settings on the computer and put the correct info, or do you think it would be a waste of time?

they prolly have tried that but wth cant hurt to try it lol
