only thing u need to edit is the username n passwd.

in APN settings do a reset. then just make sure to have it enabled n then to the fix.

When i go into the apn settings theres only cricket but if i hit menu then reset default theres metro too i can check the circle there and get in and change what i need to but when im done and hit save it dont i can hit back but the metro option is gone again leving only cricket the metro apn is gone again its one thing after another with this phone im looking foward to an eventual upgrade from this pain in my butt to what i dont know yet but im sure todo alot more reaserch next time

just enable it n then to the fix
 
I have a question i am using cm7 when i hook my phone to my computer i can't move anything in or off my phone i mount it and still can't. It says its write protected.any help with that
 
OK I think I am going to go and sit in the corner and bang my head against the wall. So I d/l the latest build and now I can send MMS but still a no go on getting them. on my apn screen some of the settings dont match what was posted on page 11. Such as my username is MDN@mycrick...... and MNC is set to 16 and I changed the auth type to PAP or CHAP
 
on the latest build for metro you have to replace the /system/etc/apns-confi.xml with the one isaac posted a link to. Then Reboot. then flash the fix with CWM 2.5.1.8. After that you dont need to change anything except for the username to 'your#@mymetropcs.com' and the passwd to 'metropcs' and save.

NOTE: after the fix metropcs will show up twice in the APN settings, you want to use the 2nd one with #777 as the APN.

i flashed the fix for gb only from the xda forum link in pip's cm6 wiki.

i just flashed the fix after the first boot and it works fine. i'm using the 04-16 version.
*apn shows up once and was not even selected when i pulled it up to check the settings.
just texted me after selecting and worked.*

i didn't change any settings or anything. metropos.

Only thing that show was for Cricket when I flashed the new build. I trust ya and I'm not gonna reflash just to see lol, couldnt count how many times I flashed my phone since friday lol

Bottom line is it works lol, but my settings are different than yours, they're like what nuttmeg posted on his howto thread.

Question Toke, can you send and receive mms? Think nuttmeg send he could receive n not send earlier. I get n can send.

I tryed to get that file but i think i got the wrong one i think i have to sign up to that site before i can d/ld it either way ill look into it tomorrow after work i hope its a big job cuz i need the f'n money

I didnt sign up on it. I copied n pasted the code into notepad++ and saved it as apns-conf.xml.

May want to try flashing the fix n doing what Tokenpoke did.

send and receive just fine. less than a miute to get my own and two to get one from spyder in penn.

isaac please feel free to use this to update your links, as I did nothing compared to the work you've done on CM7. I just thought this would make it easier for some of the newbies.

Note: All credit goes to isaac and all those who helped him bring us CM7 on the Ascend!!! All I did with nuttmeg's (nuttmeg figured it out) help was get it installed and made a backup and zipped it :)

CWM 3 will be needed to flash this zip.

CM7 with MMS Fixed

Gapps will still needed to be downloaded from the OP and installed.

this didnt work for me either it was an md5 mismatch any ideas?

An md5 mismatch means the download got corrupted. Redownload anytime you have that happen!
 
First, I would like to say. Thank you very very much. This is amazing.

Just a quick question. I denied something in the market which I'm noticing was the Google Apps. It said it would give me the option to return to it if I wanted to turn on wi-fi. So I rejected it, how do I get to that window again?

settings/accounts & sync, add your google account.
