I'm not sure why, but when I plug my headphones to my phone, my music still plays through the speaker. Can anyone help me?

When I flashed to CM7, I had a similar problem. When I used the original earbuds to make a phone call, the speaker came on and I couldn't hear through the buds. I just couldn't find the time to report the bug.

I just tested this. I'm listening to music through the stock headphones right now (Pandora) and I just watched videos on Youtube. It's working fine for me. I'm on build 0502011.

BT headphones even work.

Thanks for testing this Isaac. It was several weeks ago (and several updates) since I had flashed to CM7 and didn't like it so I went back to CM6. I might have to try it again.

Got a little problem. My phone will not let me in to the boot load screen (vol down, end call, power) it keeps saying firmware 1/2 unpacking and i have to pull the bat. So as of right now i can not flash the newer cwm. I have version 3.0.2.4., is the newer version absolutely needed to flash the new build of CM7?

Edit: Never mind, rebooted a couple times and it let me in, flashed the new version. All is well again.

Hello,

I would like to flash CM7-Ascend-05022011, but I see Isaac has put up a new version of ClockWorkMod, 3.0.2.8. I however, still have the version from build 04162011, the build before this one. Do I have to install the latest version of ClockWorkMod?

If I do will it be like installed ClockWorkMod 2.5 (Green & Black) with the different versions of file to run depending on your operating system?

I see on the CM7 WiKi, under the Notes Section, the note of Angry Birds not installing on the SD is fixed? Does this also apply to several other games and apps that do not work on the SD Card?

Also I see it now says " Format the card in CWM. I usually do 256-ext and 32-swap" Does this mean that in ClockWorkMod there will be an option to wipe the SD Card? Do I do this before I put the Rom and Gapps on it?

Thanks,
Lenny

you have the new build 05022011, and make sure there's a check inside the box that say screen off animations...
Yes, I have the new build 05022011 and have a check inside the box that says screen off animation. It doesn't look like it does on the Nexus S it only turns off really fast. Is that it?

Yes, Angry Birds now correctly installs. I'm assuming this will apply to other apps as well.

You can use any available version of CWM (for the Ascend) to flash CM7.

There has always been an option to format the SDcard in CWM. It's under Advanced. You would format the card AFTER flashing CM7 and Gapps. If you did it before, you would erase the zips on the card...

Good luck

I thought I'd had my last flash. To be honest, I've flashed this phone over 20 times already. I was starting to think perhaps I'd overdone it. Guess not! LOOOL.

Seriously, It lagged up my phone too for a second. I had forgot to OC to 710 though and was still at 600. I had just flashed Cm7 and was looking at the camera when I guess I let it sit too long and suddenly....WHITE!

Same here, I am a hardcore CM6 fan but so many people are flashing the new build it's kind of hard to give advice if I have no clue what they are talking about. I was going to just flash it and play around for bit, but after seeing it I might keep it for a while.

Just flashed cm7 and I cannotfind my gmail icon, also had a ton of questions? Maybe those can wait I will read more. But please tell me whereto find gmail icon???? Thank you in advanced.... Ps. Isaac and Pip ROCK!!!!!!:D:D

You did flash the Gapps file too right? You've got Market and everything else? Perhaps on set up you forgot to install it? I think it's one of the apps you get asked if you want to download. Go into Market and see if you can download it from there.

When you first install and sign in your Google account, data services will appear (1X or 3G, whichever you have). After that, Market will show up. Choose Market and it'll come up with a whole list of Google apps you can install. You'll find what you're looking for there.
