thanks for all your help guys I'm now running the cm7 mod on my ascend and everything is working thanks for the help love that my phone is a lil faster lol

On stock and Icarus the autorun.iso has the usb n various other drivers needed. On CM6/7 the iso image has nothing but a dummy image and neither is setup to run the iso as a cd like stock/icarus is. I messed around with this last week to try and get it to work with no luck, something isnt coded for it to work. Also the original iso is over 11MB which is a big hit to internal RAM/storage.

Maybe I'm missing something here, which could be possible since I'm 45 and have more than a few years of alcohol consumption under my belt however...
The Ascend I installed CM7 on has done the following, with regards to USB connectivity/recognition.
I installed the Ascend USB drivers on two separate machines that are almost identical in their overall software/hardware profiles, both running XP Pro SP2 .
One machine keeps insisting on recognizing it as a CD-ROM drive. I've worked and worked my medulla off trying to figure out how to make that machine recognize it as a Removable Disk, to no avail. I tried to reinstall the drivers but the install quits/crashes at 45% every time.
On the second machine, I installed the same driver package, plugged in the Ascend and it was immediately recognized as a Removable Disk. :confused:

With that said, I don't believe it's a phone or sdcard issue.

The only thing I can think of is a driver conflict/confusion. ESPECIALLY if you are presented with:
Are you sure ... existing file is newer than the one Setup is trying to install
and you made the wrong choice.
The first machine has multiple USB drivers from Apple, Blackberry, Motorola, LG and now Huawei.
The second machine only has the Huawei.

Thoughts on that theory??
 
OK, this thing, if you can call it a ROM, borked my phone. When i press the on button my phone now turns into a wise talking cat, WTF Isaac? This cat has threatened to kill me and my loved ones. The cat is choke-resistant, I've already tried.

The next build is definitely cat-proof. But you'll have to keep choking the kittehs.

Is there a problem with recieving mms on cricket with build 0514. Sorry if this has already been addressed. I keep getting "Download was unsuccessful". also is the overclock addition on rom manager? Again, sorry if this has been addressed.

was it sent from an iphone or a htc phone, alot of peoples been having this issue.
 
a little help here, its prob real easy fix , but the clockwork file is a img?? ive tried opening once downloaded with no luck, i usually use bitzipper with all my downloaded files for phone stuff, any help will be appreciated, and dont flame me too much :) please tell me what im doing wrong ,i really want to flash gingerbread on my ascend

if the person who sent you the mms has an iphone, then that's why, cm7 doesnt like iphones for some reason
 
I was getting the same problem with Icarus and stock. It wasn't EVERY MMS sent from an iPhone, but 50%. On CM7 it seems to be 100% of MMS from iPhones. :P

I only know this because 75% of my co-workers (3 out of the 4 of them) have iPhones.
 
hello everyone, i was wondering how do you upgrade clockwork mod 2xxx to 3xxx. I'm currently running cm6 and wanna try cm7, my friend says cm7 is a beauty :p. I downloaded the clockworkd 3xxx to my comp but it's in img format, I'm not really familiar with this format
how do i upgrade my current clockwork?

I flashed cm7 with CWM 2.5.1.8 then in rom manager updated to 3.0.0.5
