Flashed over to the 05142011 ROM. Thanks for the new ROM Issac87.

The USB SD issue is working better, at least I can move stuff to the phone via the USB now.
I have had seveal full lock ups of the phone when trying to turn off the USB from the phone. Had to pull the battery and reboot each time. It worked 2 times just after I got all my apps back on the phone. I turned on the feature to move apps to the sd card and set the phone to install apps to the external location. I moved my apps to the SD card. It was after that the lockups started.

I really like the Red Ascend M860 boot screen. I would like to replace or remove the cm7 boot animation with the red screen. Issac87, could you tell us where that file is located? I can move it if I can find it.

I would also like to install a bootStrapSound.ogg file into the phone. I created a .ogg file and renamed it accordingly but when I put it in the /system/media/audio/ui folder and reboot the phone the new .ogg file does not play. Is this something we can do on our own or does this require a new ROM to fix? Is this something you are thinking about working on?

Why u making a ogg file u just going to have to reflash when a new build is out and lose everything no point and don't ask for ETAs

Whenever I try to mount USB storage on a Windows 7 computer the computer says it can't read the disk but it opens fine when it's not mounted, also this doesn't happen every day but sometimes at random a little quiet ringing noise will just go off and then to make:mad: it stop I have to dial a number and end the call. If is messedyou wonder why y any of this text is messed up its because moving the cursor on this field iojust about impossible too

Have you tried installing the drivers?
 
I am about to flash to 5.14; I still haven't done the 5.9 flash, but I downloaded it. Honestly, the 5.5, which I am still on, works so darn well that I am almost hesitatant about reflashing and reloading everything again.

However, I think I have a "good" Ascend that could handle the 748Mhz; so I am gonna flash to 5.14 and then do the update flash...

Keep hope alive!

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but when I flash CM7 it gets stuck on the Huaweii load screen. I have wiped everything and factory reset before the flash. I am running CM6 now which flashed perfectly. Any suggestions?

Which build are you flashing? I know the 0509 was giving people trouble. 05142011 is the most current build.

It was before the 05142011 build. So I will try that probably tonight. Its for my girlfriends daughters phone. So far she likes the CM6, but I think CM7 would be better.

yeah the other build before 0514 had an oc kernel higher than 710 and alot of peoples had the same problem....with the latest build has the oc kernel remove so it should work...:D
 
Lag problem with the latest build CM7-Ascend-05142011
It runs well until I run an app. Upon closing an app, the phone is laggy and almost unresponsive for a minute or two after which it will regain it's crispness.
Might be just a first time load-unload memory issue.
Camera works well, so does the camcorder, although it is pretty slow and I couldn't save a video.
For what it's worth, Barcode Scanner https://market.android.com/details?id=com.google.zxing.client.android kills the camera, as I reported on a previous build (Camera Error) Cannot connect to camera.
and only a reboot will bring it back.

Other than that, I'm fairly satisfied and appreciate the continued efforts to make CM7 hiccup free.

Can't say I've had any of those problems. The only one I can agree with is the barcode scanner, which is something I really don't care about.
