Root [ROM][WIP] CyanogenMod 7 | Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) | Current Version: 09122011

Sorry folks for the tease and then such a long delay. I lost power the day I posted and said I would have it uploaded and then had to go out of town. Will be uploading it soon and will post links to changelog and downloads here in a bit.

Changelog

Added:

  • Custom bootanimation
  • Added files & edits so bootsound works
  • Added DT's apps2sd (sdcard will need partitioned to work correctly
  • New boot splash.
  • This is build is based on isaac's 05212011 build
  • Has the 748Mhz oc'd kernel and new governors.
  • New Cyan Theme added.

Awesome.. Have been checking back here religiously for it since you said that.. Realized my GPS wasnt working the other day (never checked since flash) and have been holding off.. Can't wait.. And thanks man..

Since this build by PG is build off the last build by IssacJ87 I do not think that the wifi issue with the NIC MAC addressing has been fixed. I think that PG would have posted that in the change log if it was modified.

Exactly, just whats listed on the changelog is all thats changed. I will look into the mac address issue tho for the next build.
 
Most of us know the reason we got CM7 or CM6 was because Huawei did not release the update. Well, I'm going to try the OFFICIAL update to see how it works. I recently installed CM7, by PlayfulGod, and honestly, it was bad. He should've used the standard Launcher, and the boot animations are bad. So now, I will try. Any feedback, or questions? Maybe suggestions?
 
First, if you want the stock 2.2, you'll need to flash back to stock 2.1, then run the 2.2 update.

Second, are you saying PlayfulGod's CM7 update is bad SOLELY because he added a different launcher and because you didn't like the boot animation? That's pretty harsh criticism for cosmetic additions, additions you can easily change, at that.
 
Sweet! Will check it out in a few hours.. On a side note and not at all trying to be nitpicky, just noticed on the wiki it says newest build is 0608 instead of 0618.. threw me for a second :D
 
with Isaac's edition i custom change the bootanimation & Theme as well.
i for one staying with PlayfulGods CM7. i'm very happy with it...
