I Just installed CM7, but for some reason my computer (running windows XP) cant recognize my huawei anymore, I found in this forum drivers for vista and win 7, anyone knows where to download for XP?

rgds, Meksyk

im having same issue

Okay thats good to do, and i recommend you to use cm6, which can be found in the thread "ultimate customization ascend", i love that ROM because its just like 2.2 update but 10 times better, i use to have cm7 but i found to many bugs such as MMS camera issues and stuff.
i instal cm7 and now my touch screen doent work what i do now lol

Having installed CM7 is basically the biggest performance upgrade there is. CM7 does everything other apps would do such as overclocking so there really isn't much else that could be done.

Realized that today lol hasnt even slowed down after i reinstalled tweetdeck n all my other heavy apps

I wouldnt go as far to say that, but it may take me a bit to get to a point so I can actually fix anything. I'm thinking about adding the bootsound files and edits into CM7. Far as any other fixes they will be further on down the line as I will need to learn more myself ;)
oh ok :D

I could overclock to 710 Mhz before but on the latest build my phone reboots itself shortly also.

From what I was told this build was a true overclocked one. I believe Isaac said something about a different kernel. This would explain the random loss of the ability to oc to 710.

By the way, Hi. Sorry I'm not around much. Will be switching carriers soon and will have an easier time tethering. :]

Hello all.

Well, I have read a TON on these subjects, but I need real world input to see what people think and do for these settings:

Both are in the Cyanogenmod settings ----> Performance

1. Enable Surface dithering: Obviously says sacrifice image quality at the cost of performance. I turned it off, and noticed no real pic quality change?
I wish I could look at some graphichs and switch on/off/on/off and see

On the other had, the performance help is minor, very very minor at best.

2. Allow Purging of Assets: Says system can free more RAM when needed if asset bitmap memory can be reclaimed. I have to admit I'm a little shakey on this one.

I also have this UNchecked, shooting for the performance.

Just FYI: runinning latest build of CM7 (upper CPU 710 I really with that kernel would get updated. But I think this build has more improvements that ourweight the 38MHz diff.?

So, the Dithering and Purging of Assets.

If I could get some input and advice on these issues I would be thrilled!!!

As I said after about a week of changing the settings, I'm not noticing a Real performance BOOST, but on the other hand I see NO problems with the downsides listed?

Again....I'll thank everybody now for the advice and input.

All my best.

Installed CM7 today. Every time I touch my phone or even when its just sitting there sometimes, its make clicking noises. I have tried disabling all sounds but it makes no difference. Is there any way to turn this off? I can see bad things happening if I try playing with my phone in class with it making noises.
