Go to the section in the very first post and read the part about "after rooting" there's a list of root only apps. Of course now you can flash roms and kernals but i would start with that list first and get some of those apps. Theres also a couple pretty cool boot animation changers for root user in the market.

i really want to yet i think i'll wait a few more days for official....srsly kicking myself for installing that last htc update grrrr....i wasn't rooted prior but was growing a pair finally to do it ;)

hey i just wanted to let you know i rooted with beta version an everything went perfect not one thing messed up. i didnt even lose my contacts. they say that when your root with unrevoked you cant remove blotware but i downloaded a app called titanium backup an iv done removed all sprint apps an more. now im focused on learning about roms an stuff. but give the beta a try it worked perfectly

Yes. But you do not need to download the drivers. And make sure you download the mac version or else it wont run.

Alrighty, so many people have has Success with the Beta release of unrevoked 2.3. Before I add any information on this in the guide, I am reading up on the IRC chat to get some more knowledge of it.

I haven't used anything specifically, but if you search the market for "bookmark backup", there's dozens of them.

STEP 2: Installing Drivers (WINDOWS ONLY - MAC USERS DO NOT NEED TO INSTALL THE DRIVERS)
- Go to the unrevoked website (public:windows_hboot_driver_install [RootWiki])
- Download the unrevoked modified USB driver (android-usb-driver.zip)
- Save the file to the Desktop of your computer.
- UnZip the files to the Desktop of your computer.
*so unzip files by double-clicking them?

Fella's i'm on this step for hboot driver installation: Click on Browse and select the Android USB Driver folder on on your computer

It's nowhere to be found! i have the file saved on my desktop, double-clicked it to unzip...any ideas? i need the dummed down dummed down version i guess lol
