Anyone know where I can get stock radio or if you have it can you upload it for me?

I'm using Chrome so it's like PG86IMG(1) or PG86IMG(2)
Someone else on this thread I believe (I do remember hitting thanks cause it's a great idea) suggested this: name the files PG86IMG_radio, PG86IMG_PRI and PG86IMG_whatever (can't remember what the other component is). Then rename them to just PG86IMG when you copy the file to the root of the SD card to actually flash. That way you'll always know which file is which.
That is how I did it as well.i just put mine in folders on the sd card.
then i use es file explorer to copy and paste whatever i need, then i have old and new sorted out also
Im rooted and S-off.
Tried doing this. Copied the HBOOT file and put it in the SD card.
Entered the bootloader, it noticed it and did the update.
Now I have a never ending boot when I try running the rom, and whenever I boot to the bootloader, it forces me to either update again or reboot.
Can't get into the recovery. The Hboot version since then now says 1.04...etc.
Still s-off.
Is there any way to boot straight to recovery on this phone?.
Are you running the stock rom? This is known to cause bootloops... read the first post. I think Power+Vol Down is the recovery (correct me if i'm wrong) or you can reboot into recovery from the bootloader.
your phone should have to different holes at the edge you want to use outside one, i dont see why it will not be there, and yes doing the s-off trick and all thise won't effect your rom i did all this and remained on the same rom, just make sure you dont use your primary SD card because it has been known to cause issues i got lucky because i forgot to switch mine out but it didn't erase it but you can never be too safe, you will be satasfied with the results though i used to have the same low to no signal you have now im pushing 5 bars constantly where i am.Hello all, I've been reading through the thread and had some questions. I have the virgin mobile evo v and I'm having issues with low/no signal and was considering going s-off and root, etc to get a better radio perhaps. However when i looked at the back of my phones insides I noticed that there isn't the same hole for doing the wire trick.
Also I do like the ICS sense3.6 rom that's on the phone right now, is there a way to keep that and still flash a new radio?
Thanks
Well I've been in the s-off site reading and supposedly the wire trick does not work with VM phones, is there a way to make it work so I can get s-off?
I took the plunge and it worked. I'm flashing new radios as we speak to find the best one for my area. Thanks all. I may have more questions soon.
Ok after do what I thought was flashing a new radio I see that I am still on 0426... it even asked me if I wanted to flash the file etc.... I pushed the down button..... maybe they are the same radio?
*edit* grrr after flashing different radios I'm still on the same one the flashes are not taking. I'm on hboot 1.57 does this make a difference?
Correct.Reading the first post, it sounds like the hboot downgrade is req'd before you can flash radios. I think you can probably change the hboot after that if you wish.
well yes, i have been right infront of a tower with 2 bars but then at my house a few miles away i get perfect signal, hopefully the new towers they are building will fix this problemYep got all of the items done from the first post except the QPST, that didn't seem like it would help me much. After all the items were done and midnight rom installed I still have the same crappy one or zero bars, the 1216 radio seems to give me 1-2 bars around the house but I get dropped calls. VM wants to send me a refurbished phone btw, how quaint.
My wifes over a year old optimus get 3-4 bars in our house. I think I'm gonna go buy a GS2 and go to tmobile.
Thanks for the help you guys provided, it was very appreciated.
P.S. Maybe someone with some cell tower experience can tell me if you always get the best reception from a tower that is closest to you? or do towers tend to overshoot areas thereby giving those areas bad reception.? thanks
