As someone who followed the whole debacle situation, that is inarguably true. What was genuinely legit info one moment became a conspiracy theory the next. Nobody could have done any better. All players in the know were wrong at least a time or two. It was due to hangups unknown on VZW's part and that was the release that VZW came straight out and said they were going for the "top secret" approach. Which was a fail of the utmost magnitude.

Maybe there will be non-Verizon versions named exactly that way.

See DROID RAZR Maxx and Motorola RAZR Maxx for example.

Careful what you wish for - if the Moto X takes off gangbusters and Verizon decides to argue with Moto for months like they did with the Goog, that could happen here.
 
Rumors suggest now the moto x will now be 199 on contract and 599 off. For the specs it has I sure hope not. I understand that they are working with the sensors but still, I'll pass if that is the case.

If this releases for under 350 off contract ill will buy day one.

Looks comparable to my GNex with larger battery. I am sad to see the headphone jack on top. Though it has only mattered when I've listened a couple of audio books (1 and a half really).
