It can't be disputed that for it to go this long means the jury didn't agree with the self defense idea unanimously and that's not good for the Zim man.

Unless someone in there can change someones mind.

I can't see a juror making it through that trial and not being Convinced one way or
the other. I don't see another juror changing their mind this time.

It's smelling like a hung jury to me.

The $64,000 question then would be would the current Special Prosecutor (WENCH) from Jax still have the case or would it go back to Seminole County-Jeff Ashton? (I'd think Ashton is Praying To God this pile-o-poop doesn't land back in his lap.)

I got no clue there. :confused:

(EDIT; No Prosecutor in their right mind would want a case like this. No matter what you do with it (Win or Lose) HALF of the populace will want YOU hung. It's a No winner.)

ya I heard that on the ride home and had 1 instant thought.....

they know he didnt "murder" the guy.... but they arent willing to let him just walk..... so theyre hoping they can pin manslaughter on him

doesnt look good at all.... unless theyre trying to convince the holdouts to convict him of something and it does end up hung

I heard something while ago I was Waiting to hear.

I think it was Judge Jeanine. She said she had been talking with some of her attorney friends in Fla. She said THEY were basically freaking out as to why the defense Did Not go for a Stand Your Ground hearing BEFORE the trial. Though it was probably unlikely with the public sentiment at the time, if they HAD won, it would have ended there with *no trail at all*. Not to mention the SYG hearing would be in front of a judge who knows the law instead of a jury with crazy cat ladies in it. (Hey, 16 damn cats is crazy cat lady enough for me!)

Damn Straight!

If I'm a defense attorney, I go to bat Every Damn Time I possibly can to get my guy off no matter how unlikely our chance. (Unless doing so somehow would damage a future case.)

They had the SYG and Trail at bat here, seems to me (and YEAH! apparently these Fla. attorneys) the defense took a base on balls without even swinging at the SYG hearing at bat. :confused:

The system worked. The prosecution did not prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.
 
Thank God the right to self defense appears to still be the law here.

I'm not surprise. The prosecuters let this one get away. Now GZ can join the Murderers Club, along with OJ & Casey Anthony!

Bull. A good guy shot a thug. Nothing to see here. There was nothing to see from the night of the incident until GZ was arrested, and that only happened because of a bunch of moronic liberal uproar.

A good guy shot a punk in self defense. If a punk is pounding my head into the pavement, I plug him too, without remorse.

so i know that this trial is of interest to a lot of people here. i know that we all have opinions on what was right and wrong. i respect all of your opinions. i know this case is about violence and we can't avoiding talking about it. but talking about attacking anybody from the trial will not be tolerated......lets keep this talk civilized

Actually, we will know. TM was pounding GM's head into the pavement to the point that he was gushing blood.

Actually, GZ has been more respectful that I would be. If the punk was pounding my head into the pavement. I plug him. Actually, I keep plugging him until he stops.

That's why I carry a .45.

And in this instance, I have zero remorse.

The people who won't admit the facts of evidence in this case are just as guilty of the death of Trayvon Martin as the party I named earlier.

The more you sweep the real reason for a 17 year old black youth to attack someone for the weakest of excuses under the carpet, the more you aggravate the situation and hamper it ever being corrected.

The people who CAN change that Culture of Violence would rather blame the innocent for Their Own shortcomings and continue to see their brothers, sisters, sons and daughters die because of it.

They and their ilk should be ashamed.

This, unfortunately, is the hindsight of 20/20.

I PERSONALLY don't think he was out LOOKING to find someone to shoot. I would bet that if he had the chance to go back and do it again that it would play out differently.

He is a wimp who can't fight his way out of a paper bag and needs his penis extender...err gun to make himself feel like a big man. He realized that he was getting his ass kicked by a 17 year old kid so he shot him. There is no hero or happy ending here. To see people celebrating like this makes me feel like I need a shower. Grow up, people.

I havent seen anyone "celebrating"... or trying to turn anyone into a "hero".... simply stating the facts that represent other FACTS

what ever happened to the whole 'the verdict doesnt matter we just want our day in court' stance?

I will have to agree with you in some parts of your post... he cant fight his way out of anything... as testified to by the defense witness who in different words basically said zimmerman was the worst physical specimen he had ever seen

I also agree that there is no happy ending here... especially considering that zimmermans life is destroyed all because some kid wanted to act tough

We're pretty much everywhere but we're not everywhere at every instant.
