Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman official discussion thread

The people who won't admit the facts of evidence in this case are just as guilty of the death of Trayvon Martin as the party I named earlier.

The more you sweep the real reason for a 17 year old black youth to attack someone for the weakest of excuses under the carpet, the more you aggravate the situation and hamper it ever being corrected.

The people who CAN change that Culture of Violence would rather blame the innocent for Their Own shortcomings and continue to see their brothers, sisters, sons and daughters die because of it.

They and their ilk should be ashamed.

We may never know exactly what happened that night after Zimmerman got off the phone with the dispatcher. It would help if Trayvon was still around to tell his side of the story. We don't know if his aggression was the result of being provoked by a threat or physical attack by Zimmerman, but it is quite reasonable to think he would have had a claim for self defense as well.

We will never know.

I'm already hearing people talk about new laws prohibiting citizens who are not police from getting involved in confronting any suspicious people... Thus my setup theory proposed in OP

in case you missed count let me help you out:

Justice 1

Racists with an agenda 0

btw...... I havent seen you posting anything anywhere about the multitudes of young black people killed by other young black people every single day in this country...... is that OK in your book?

Perhaps he is just reading from his President's playbook.

Every Single Year TWENTY TIMES as many kids than died at Sandy Hook in one day are killed by Each Other in Chicago. Most of that is Black on Black Killing. That is Obama's Home Town, his right hand man is it's Mayor. But neither one of them, or Sharpton, Jackson, Farrakon, the MSM, or any of the liberal whiners here give a flyin' frosted damn about THOSE kids. Because fixing THAT would require them to fix things IN THEIR OWN HOUSE.

Either they aren't capable of fixing it or there's more money for them to blame and torment the mostly white people who Aren't killing their kids to make it harder for THEM to protect themselves from Those leader's bloodthirsty frankenkids.

Fix the mad dogs in YOUR OWN neighborhood before you come looking to "fix" things in mine.

The majority of the Black on Black crimes are solved, so there is no need for anyone to protest. And yes, there are people doing things to try and stop those issues. They are not in the public eyes as often as cases like the GZ types of cases.

Well, 11 More kids killed just LAST weekend, 40 more wounded in Chicago.

Looks like they aren't working very hard at it. Or they are completely incapable, or both.

Damn hard to when you (or your heart, mind and efforts) are 1000 miles away in Florida trying to incite the dumb masses.

It's called neighborhood watch, not neighborhood follow, confront and kill. It would have been different if Trayvon had been in the act of committing a crime, but he was not.

Right, and Trayvon is in "Thug Heaven", where he belongs!:)

Can't say I think he deserves to be dead (one of those bleeding heart types) but I do believe Zimmerman did the right by standing his ground. I think this a set up for the "next" distraction while While the government does it's thing all cloak and dagger style, as it has grown so fond of.

There's an old Celtic saying

Well I am not Celtic and he didn't have to die.. But I get what you are saying. Unrelated note I think my mother doesn't like that I support Zimmerman..

He was beating the crap out of Zimmerman! Too bad for him that Zimmerman had a gun. I would have done the same thing.:p

I think that sentiment makes us all look bad, "some guy was kicking my ass so I killed him" but if he would had injured him Zimmermann would had been sued.

At the time, i don't think that Zimmerman was thinking about a lawsuit. He wanted Trayvon to stop beating him, and he acted instinctively. Trayvon was not the "altar boy" that he was portrayed to be.

I didn't say anything about his image, nor did I say affects my opinion. I didn't say he didn't deserve to be shot. I am saying he didn't deserve to die. But I am also saying if he didn't die Andrew would had been sued to death via the American bullying system. His situation was lose lose responding with violence.

You're right about Zimmerman being sued, if Trayvon had lived. I've shot people, in combat, and in truth, you never know where the bullet will go, or how much damage it will do. It happens in milliseconds, but you perceive it all in slow motion. I believe that Zimmerman fired "blindly", just trying to get Trayvon off of him. I don't think that he had time to pick and choose what part of the body he was aiming at. Although i never was that close to the VC when i fired, i always seemed to get a "head shot", when i was really aiming at their chest. Unfortunately, dead is dead.

True that

Really? Even after all the facts have come out your still beating that dead horse?

GZ retreated after the dispatcher told him they didn't need him to follow him. At this point, the situation is over, done. TM could have just walked home but HE escalated the situation to physical which now has actually become a crime. Following is not a crime.

TM wanted a fight. That's the thug mentality. To bad he picked a fight with the wrong person.

If my neighborhood had a consistent rash of crimes over the years and one night I see someone walking up my street, obviously my first instinct is they are up to no good. Obviously that's profiling, how else do you assume something about someone. Every single person in this world profiles people on a daily basis. How they look, act, what they wear, how they talk, etc... If my street would have been crime free then the thought wouldn't enter my mind that this person was up to no good.

Regardless they both made bad decisions and one made an illegal one from which he paid the ultimate price for it. End of story.

You fuzzy I wish it was that simple but now its a mess because one guy looked white. as a black male I am ashamed of how quick the race card is played how quick it becomes that when it had nothing to with followed by misinformation and a smear campaign. And people look at me funny when I Obama isn't perfect and is corrupted getting a free pass because his skin is dark. Its bs and sicking.

@ fuzzy. How you know TM a thug. You just as bad as that dead horse trying to tanish TM. If GZ had identify himself as the neighbor hood watch in an appropriate manner this could have been a different out come.

From his thuggish ways? The facts?

So riding around with a loaded gun creeping up on someone can't get more thuggish than that.

Maybe you don't know what a thug is or how someone is about "that life." Riding around in your own neighborhood as the the watch with your legally possessed weapon is hardly thuggish. Meeting said person with aggression is thugish when he could had called the cops himself or ignored him

We can all sit back and say he could have done this and that. GZ could have mind his own business. Thugs come in all shape and forums so maybe you need to expand your horizon on thug and stop thinking it has to be some rapper image.
